Re: Help!! Gift Ideas for kids

I don't know how much you want to spend, but Barbie Swan Lake is hot this year. If you want to spend more, the Leap Pad is good for girls & boys. CD's for the 11 yo, you can get a boombox for about $19(I got my 6 yo daughter one) A walkman for cd's Hope this helps!

My boys (10 & 5) are really into Tech Deck Dudes, BeyBlades & Yu Gi Oh Cards. They always like DVD's they can watch together. (They want Daddy Daycare and Kangaroo Jack)

O.K, this is the first time I've posted anything here so I hope I do this right......
I have nieces that are 6 and they asked for : Bratz dolls ( between $10 and $13 )
Polly Pockets ($10 and up )
Anything Care Bear or Dora
Barbies
Clue Jr.
Dress up stuff

For the boy , he's the perfect age for a tabletop air hockey or Foosball ( Kohls did have for $10 not sure price now ) I don't know about the boy so much. no young ones in our family, anyone else out there that can help on this ?

Re: Help!! Gift Ideas for kids

be careful with bratz, though...i know a lot of parents, myself included, who don't approve of them

Some things on my 5.5 yr old daughter's wish list are:

my little pony - very reasonably priced about $5 per pony and $10-$15 for a set (like the cotton candy cafe)

hungry hungry hippos $15

Care Bears Movie $10/13 depending on format

strawberry shortcake dolls, books, etc.

Re: Help!! Gift Ideas for kids

i say that because i have heard/read many people say that they don't approve of not only their dress/appearance, but their attitude, as well. i agree and since i see no reason for young children to dress or behave that way, so i won't allow my children to play with toys that promote it.

Hee hee I have three boys so I too haven't a clue a lot of times when it comes to the "cool" girlie stuff. Because of reading about the Bratz here I didn't even bother looking at them in the stores for our niece.

Re: Help!! Gift Ideas for kids

Target has the Swan Lake Barbie for $14.00 this week and that is the cheepest I have seen. This is at the top of my 6 year old daughters list . Along with art supplies, Mary Kate and Ashely videos(old ones at walmart for $3.8, and a Strawberry Short Cake doll.
