Help!! Gift Ideas for kids

I have to do gifts for an 8 year old boy that is part of my church's bus ministry. We went to Ross for other reasons and found an awesome remote control car for $5 and a "Matrix" set of a spy watch and walkie talkies for $3. I also took a Christmas tin and filled it with the left over Halloween candy.

Anything remote control for a boy that age and anything Barbie or girly for a girl. Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake are big.

hey, just want to say i agree with the no love for bratz. the name told me all i needed to know. just a note - toys-r-us has the "spend $60, get the barbie townhouse or cruise ship" deal available in stores. swan lake barbie is 16.99 there, but w/ that promo, it's like getting half off. i just tucked everything but the barbie and the horse and carraige away for later. adios! paula.

For girls: Maybe you can get her an arts-and-crafts kit.

For boys: Maybe you can get them a kit for spies or magicians.
