| My girlfriend is thinking about getting one of these little robot vaccuum cleaners, but she wants to hear from someone who has one. Her house is all hardwood floors, and she has lots of cat hair. (Cat hair all over the house, not all over her! LOL) I've heard that the Roomba doesn't have quite as much suction as a regular vaccuum, but it sounds as if it wouldn't make a difference in her house. Does anybody know about these? TIA

| Re: Does anybody have the Roomba? This is the Roomba. I'd be interested in how well it works too. It's not that big so I can't see that it would pick up a whole lot...lol There are 3 types as well. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] ![]() |

| Re: Does anybody have the Roomba? Yes, I'm still addicted to vacuum cleaners (poor me!)... and, yes, I'm still happy with my Roomba. I got two when they first came out - one for me and one for my son. So, if you want to see what I had to say about it, click on the link above to see my past post. (The only difference now is that hsn.com is not offering the special promotion for future purchases.) Just remember, it's not a super sucking vacuum cleaner ... it's a floor sweeper ... but it does do a terrific job on flat surfaces like hardwood floor, linoleum, tile, etc. Right now, I would pay a little bit more and get the newer version with the remote control because it has 'spot cleaning' capabilities. Also, you can buy them in local store now, but if you are a new hsn.com customer, you can find a 25% off coupon for new customers ... bringing the price down a lot. And lastly, if you can find a large linensandthings.com coupon, they might be a good deal, too. ![]()

| Re: Does anybody have the Roomba? Once again, DOD to the rescue! Thanks for the info, you guys, especially YorkieLover. (Weren't you the one who got me interested in the electronic pressure cooker? I LOVE it, and use it at least 4-5 times a week, so thanks!) I'll pass this info on to my friend. She (and I) will really appreciate it. |

| Re: Does anybody have the Roomba? I saw a Roomba tonight in BJ's Wholesale Club. My hubby got so excited when he saw that. Guess that'll be the next thing he purchases. Gadgets and more gadgets. It wasn't exactly inexpensive either.

| Re: Does anybody have the Roomba? Uh oh. My dad ordered one of the new Roombas that's twice as powerful ... and also knows when its battery needs charging ... and it'll go back to its charging dock to automatically charge itself up. That's just too funny. I can't wait for him to get it so I can see how it works.
