Re: leftover Halloween candy

Maybe if you have a lot you can donate to a children's hospital or home or something?

It is very cool what my sons' school does. They let us donate any extra Halloween candy and then they take it at the end of November to an orphanage in Mexico! I love that if we have too much, it won't go to waste (or waist!)

Re: leftover Halloween candy

I was thinking of getting the Christmas treat bags and filling them up with the candy and then dropping them off at a homeless shelter closer to the holidays.

I also have alot of travel size toothpaste, deodorant, razors, etc. Maybe I can include those also.

Re: leftover Halloween candy

The only thing I like about my daughters birthday being in the beginning of Nov. is that I take all the halloween candy and use it to fill the pinata up for her party!!

I took all my left over stuff and brought it to work! I work in a hospital and when the interns, residents, and med students make their rounds they wipe it all out!!! LOL They act like they never eat

Re: leftover Halloween candy

Our elementary school's librarian has a treat jar, and if a class exhibits good behavior during the story hour, she lets each student select something from the jar.

Last week the word went out that the school was wondering if parents had leftover candy to donate. I was thrilled to be able to get rid of it. So you may want to explore that possibility.

Re: leftover Halloween candy

I usually bring leftover candy to work for the candy dish. I did see something really cute on Saturday at a bake sale. They had tootsie roll pops in what looked like small flower pots, so the pops looked alot like colored flowers. They were really cute.
