My favorite person growing up was my Grandma Oma. Her mother was a Tahitian princess who married a missionary and moved to the states where they changed her name to something other than her "heathen" name. They were considered heathens by some of the people in Oregon.

Her Tahitian name? Miriama, which I always thought was beautiful. 59 because I was born in 1959. 44 years ago today.

I had to bump this one - it's a fun read.

BTW, since I first posted in this thread, DD moved out and took our male Yorkie ... and a few month later I got a tiny Yorkie girl ... who is now full grown and is only 3 pounds. I love her! Thus, I'm still a YorkieLover.

i always use rkent24 so i just shortened it to my initials and 24 is my favorite nascar driver so it kinda kept it simple for me on usernames
