| OUCH---my horrible life
As some of you know I left July 31 to go to TN to open a diner with my best friend. I was going to stay till Xmas with my kids there and then come back to hubby here in Oklahoma. Bad news.....on Saturday August 9, my friend and I were in a horrible car accident. We hit another car that did an illegal uturn into our lane going about 70 MPH. I was trapped in the car for about 20 minutes, my friend and I were both taken by helicopter to a trama center about a 25 min ride away. I was released and have now gotten back to Oklahoma, with brusies and glass up and down my body, a broken hand, bruised lungs and severe back pain. I have serious problems with my breathing and have to sleep sitting up pretty much or I cant breathe at all. My friend who was NOT wearing her seatbelt (I was though!) got the worst of the injuries depsite the fact that the damage was pretty much all on my side of the car. She is still in the hospital and had her 2nd of 3 surgeries today. She has a broken ankle (it looked so bad) broken hip and a broken neck. During an MRI on my neck they found a cyst on my throid gland so I have to go in Wednesday and have that looked at and probably get ready for another surgery myself. It has been real hard on both my kids (5 and  and very hard on me emotionally, I can't seem to stop crying.Anyway wanted to let everyone know what was going on and that I am okay just in a lot of pain and tired all the time. Posted it here instead of emailing everyone because I can only use my left hand and typing is very hard for me.

Oh no. Such terrible news. Please know I'm praying for you and your friend to heal quickly and without incident. So sad.

Goodness sakes, girl! Sounds like you both are very lucky to be alive! Take care and I hope you and your friend get better soon and get back to opening that diner. Sounds like a fun idea! |

((((((((Big hug))))))))))) It is going to take some time to process this kind of trauma. Just take it one day at a time, one minute at a time. I am so sorry you went through this, but I am glad you are ok. Hoping you and your friend have a quick and complete (in every way) recovery.

What a heck of a lot to go through! But, be glad your alive and that they found the cyst. Sounds like things can only get better so wipe those tears away, hug your kids and give your dh a BIG kiss. :sending some good karma your way:

You poor thing; that's terrible! Give yourself some time to get over everything, and go easy on yourself. Don't try to do too much, too soon. Thank God the kids are OK, so hug them and be grateful you are all together. (((Hug!))) |

OMG, how awful to have to endure all of that which you went through and are going through. I hope you and your friend are feeling better soon.
