Chatter box Today's thrift store/consignment shop bargains!

Ok, so I didn't do as well as other times, didn't get as much stuff, but, I got a solid wood end table for $29.00 at a used furniture shop. Ya gotta love that price. A Casual Corner t-shirt for $3.99, and Etienne Aigner leather thong sandals, which look new, for just $12.00. Ok guys, what'd ya get today?

cujo, maybe the same yard sale is on tomorrow as well, and they might still have that massage chair.

Since there isn't any decent thrift stores around me thats pretty much out and to get my DH to go to yard sales all day long(he hates to shop period, unless its something he needs) thats out.
I did go to Sam's today and bought a new A/C for $95 and some change. And to Home Goods to get a new duvet cover for my down comforter I got for free from a customer through my job.
Oh and some groceries from Winn-Dixie. Got some B1G1's. Thats about it for me.

I don't think they have new items that they buy for resale from a manufacturer, but there are plenty of new with tag items that consignors bring in. Same with garage sales. Half the things I buy at garage sales are sealed ina package or still have tags. And heck, I even had some of those in MY garage sale! I bought some clearance items that didn't work out so I sold them for what I paid and got my money back.

kolie, since you don't have any thrift stores out your way, you might be interested in checking out the Goodwill thrift store auction site online. Just type in Goodwill Auction and click on ShopGoodwill to bring up the correct site. I use it all the time. All the money goes to help those less fortunate and you pay the Goodwill stores directly with your credit card. They sell designer clothes, pottery, dolls, seasonal stuff, glass, housewares, musical instruments etc. etc. I think you'll like it.

aprilgail, consignment and thrift, both carry used merchandise. You can find alot of gorgeous things at consignment stores.

I've found many new things at consignment and retail stores, especially kids' clothes...

<sniffle> my favorite kids' consignment store is closing for good this weekend - big blow out sale if any of you CT-ers wanna hit there, it starts tomorrow and ends Saturday when she closes her doors for good! Love Me Twice, on Newfield Street in Middletown...

Thanks 3tbear for the info but having a credit card, which I don't, would be a bad idea for me because I love to shop way to much and if I have cash, I'm less likely to buy things I don't need. Well most of the time. LOL
There is a Goodwill store about 20 min. from me but the last time I was there, which has been a while, I was in line and they only had one cashier and this lady in front of me had all these vouchers and it was taking forever for her to checkout and I got tired of waiting so I left the cart right there and left and never went back. I am not a patient person when it comes to standing in line to checkout. Can't you tell. LOL
Plus I think they are a little high priced for used items.

kolie, I forgot to mention this, but you can also pay by check on the Goodwill auction site, it's check or credit card.
