Amazon ticks me off!

You know....if I wanted to buy something from Circuit City and pick it up at Circuit City, I'd just GO to Circuit City or visit their website. I am so sick of amazon.com selling other peoples products. Some you can't buy with gift certificates and most you can't get free shipping on. If I wanted to buy something from all these other places, I'd just go to their website. But I am at Amazon and I want to buy something from Amazon, not Toys R US or Circuit City or Marshall Fields, etc. Geesh!

I feel better..lol

Exactly. I had 5 things in my cart, 2 of which were not from "Amazon", so I had to delete them to get free shipping on my whole order.
By the way, what is up with Deal of Day? It has been so slow the last 2 days I have stayed away because I hate waiting so long.

I hear ya. I haven't purchases anything from them in a very, very, very looooooooong time. It's all too confusing now. And, if I'm remembering correctly, you cannot use your Amazon Gift certificates for items from their "partner" sites.

I completely bypass Amazon now and just go to the other store sites. They don't seem to have much of anything of their own anymore.

Chippers - I thought it was just my computer being slow! I'd been saving a lot of pictures on my hard drive lately and I have a slow dial up, on top of crappy rural phone lines, so I figured it was just me. Well, now I feel better knowing my computer is probably just fine and my connection is no worse than normal! LOL!

They're doing work on the servers. DOD was actually down for just a couple minutes early this morning. The old emails may be copies of ones you had received before. Just hang in there.....we'll get through this and DOD will be up and running as fast as it was before.

Sandy...I hear ya!

Maybe we should start a campaign...flooding Amazon with hate email...lol. Tell them to get it together. Either choose to be Amazon or choose to be somebody else...lol.

What I hate is having my gift certificates expire before I have a chance to use them. Twice now I have gone to get something only to find out that some of my account money was gone, thus not being able to get it. Yet, whenever I think I build up enough to get it, something expires and I don't have enough. It's a vicious circle. There is no way to check on a gift certificate's expiration once it gets put into your account. I can't possibly keep track of every single gc I get and the expiration. What's really stupid is that they still get the money that paid for the gc, but we're out of the gc once it expires. That totally stinks!
