I finally went shopping, it's been so long...

I haven't been to stores in such a long time. It seems everytime I plan on going, my teachers give us more homework. But, that's ending soon, next week, so I can have fun once again. One of my girlfriends is having shopping withdrawals, she won't go without me. She said to me today, "We are going shopping next week, right"?

Yesterday after work I went to a local thrift store. Ladies, if you want some sexy shirts and don't want to pay a fortune, well...let me just say, that I bought 5 stretch tops and a gorgeous linen vest, and the best part, I only paid $12.00 for EVERYTHING! Plus, the manager of the store threw in a free magazine. I tried everything on once I got home, and you should have seen my DH's face. The tops are really cute, low cut a bit in the front and stretchy and tight. He was lovin it! Got to keep the hubby happy. I just love sexy clothes! Anybody else find some springtime bargains? I can't wait to hit the tag sales!

I was in Wal-Mart recently. Tried on one of those tank tops with the 'built-in bras'. Not very flattering, not used to showing off my 'headlights'

NOT for me, although Charlie probably would've been in his glory

Naomi, I tried on one of the Velour ones they had last fall too and boy was I disappointed! It didn't fit right at all. The Medium was too small in the chest, the Large was TOO large. I guess they don't think small people can be big up top. I did buy two cotton ones by Faded Glory from Walmart last year. They were on clearance for $3 and I couldn't pass them up. They were a little bit too long for a tight fitting top, but other than that, they are fine. I'd buy more like that if they had 'em.

I usually buy my Bra tops at Old Navy and those are usually about the same price as Walmart's.

I have some Maternity ones I just bought on sale at JCPenny's. I love 'em. I hate wearing bras, but can't go without if ya know what I mean. I can't get enough of these tops and unless I'm absolutely freezing cold, no "headlight" problems here.

Jen, we have those fill a bag sales at local churches near to where I live. I just LOVE going to those! That's where I got a camera for 25 cents I think it was, after I divided up how much stuff I squeezed into the bag. Have fun tomorrow!

I tried on those tops with the built in bras in Wal-mart last year. The only kind I can wear are the ones with the bras that are stiff, give the top a shape, otherwise, the other built in bra style makes me look flat chested, which I'm not.

Ah heck. I'm just glad SOMETHING on me is perky...lol. If it weren't for headlights, I wouldn't have a bosom to speak of.

I saw some bratops at Target that looked pretty good. They had an actual bra-like insert...not one of those shelf bras that do absolutely nothing.

Hey Naomi, perky is not a bad thing (LOL).

sblme, sure, next time I hear of one I'll let you know. Actually, if you phone the churches near you, they might do them too. They usually have the bag sales at a church in Ivoryton, CT. It might be a long haul for you to get there. Sometimes they are good, sometimes not, just depends on what people give away. I've gotten really cute beaded sandals at one. The sales usually end at around noon on Saturdays when they do have them. Another great place for bargains are Estate sales. If you get a chance, check some out. They are not all good either, you have to get lucky with those. I've gotten an air conditioner, which they let me plug in to see if it worked, paid around $25.00 for it. We still have it and it works great. It barely fit into the back of my Corolla, but when you really want something badly enough, you make it fit.
