Years ago, when all 4 kiddos were pretty small, I went grocery shopping with all my coupons, leaving the kids home with hubby. It was snowing outside and in the south that is a big deal so all the neighbors left their cars parked at the bottom of their driveways. After about 2 hours of intensive coupon shopping I attempted to check out and realized I had left my checkbook at home. Called hubby and he said he would run it down to me real fast.....well he backed out of the drive into the neighbors Mercedes....So the coupon shopping trip only COST us about $1950 after you subtract the coupons.....

Don't let THAT stop you! You can get coupons from many people on the Coupon board here or on other boards. If you don't have other coupons to trade, you can trade paypal handling fee or stamps. If there are any you need specifically, let me know. I have extra inserts from many months past. I love helping people save money.

There are also websites like [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] that allow you to select and print coupons you need for free! (There's usually a limit to how many of a particular one you can print, and their selections aren't always the greatest.) Still, they're a great resource for coupons. Also, check out the websites of your favorite brands. Many have coupons right on their site, and/or have an e-mail newsletter, which often will have coupons in it as well! They're out there if you're willing to look for them!!

I don't have the double, triple coupons, but I did shop today and spent $125. Coupon savings $23.35 (15%) only, BUT I only bought sale items and used both store and manufacturers coupons on many items. What I did buy was the lowest price I am used to spending on those items....well, except that romaine lettuce was a whopping $1.29!

I was watching people shop without a coupon in hand choosing whatever they wanted to eat...hmmm I just CAN'T do that anymore!! LOL One family was looking at Pringles on sale for .88. The kids (older like junior high) asked the mom if they could buy some and she replied yes. Then they said there were twin packs, too. She said if they wanted the twin packs they could get those. SO they did...a twin pack was $2.49!!!!!!!!!! Sheesh! It wasn't even a math error. They simply didn't care. Or maybe they assumed the twin pack would be cheaper.???

Anyway, I am happy with my purchases. Hope they last the week.
