 smart card reader I just got a digital camera and I dont have the usb cable to connect it to the computer. I am trying to find out from the manufacturer if i can purchase the cable but I was wondering if i could use a smart card reader. (i think that is what they are called) would i be able to plug that into the usb port and then when i want to view the pics i just put the card in there instead of plugging the camera into the computer. | I have a smart card reader and it works GREAT. I bought the one made by SanDISK. It wasn't real expensive. | I have a dock for my camera, but I can't use it on my laptop in the car (it needs to be plugged in the wall). Since I don't want to have to carry around a dozen little cards, I had to either get a card reader or an adapter - I went with a multi-card reader from Lexar. It can read almost any kind of card (which is good because our digital camcorder uses one kind, my digital still uses another kind and my DH's digital still uses a third kind of card). | I picked up the card reader by Dazzle and it works great! Much easier to use than the software that came with our digital camera. It was $20 at CompUSA.
