The movie was good, but the book was much better. The book scared me more reading it than the movie did. Of course I still love Anthony Hopkins character, but read the book first.

I saw the movie in the theater and because I had some questions, I read the book after. The book is probably Harris' best of the three (dragon, silence and hannibal). It's the only one I have read that doesn't bore you to tears for the first 1/3 of it, lol! But it is the only one of the three that I read AFTER I saw the film. They change a few minor things in the film, but otherwise it stays pretty true to the original manuscript.
