OMG! I am so glad you are ok. I would've been totally freaking out. I understand that shaking feeling - I'm completely terrified of bad storms and I shake uncontrollably. I've never been in a tornado (YET), but been too close for comfort to a few. Gosh, I couldn't imagine how bad I'd be if I had cows and houses flying through my yard.
We had tornado warnings for our entire county the other night and that was scary enough for me. I was shaking and pacing back and forth, I was completey panicked! I don't think there were any touchdowns tho. I never heard otherwise.

I went out this morning. Unbelievable! I couldn't even begin to explain to you all how it looked. I've never seen anything like it. We took pics and I'll get them up as soon as my sister sends them to me. That could be a couple days since she is still without electricity today.

I totally understand, Sandy. Remember, an F5 went through here in November. It's amazing. One minute, things are as you've always known them, the next minute, nothing looks the same, nor will it ever again.

Yep..I can understand the power of what you went through Pip. They said the one in KC was an F5 and that the ones that came through here were just as bad.

Just found out some news. It wasn't Betty after all that was killed. It was her daughter-in-law. Not that it matters, it's still tragic.
One farmer in the area had every one of his cattle killed. Over 100 head.
Electricity is going to be out for 3-4 days. The electric company reported having to replace or repair a little over 1100 poles. Goodness.
My sister is going to call me back in a bit. They may bring their deep freeze up here tonight and stay with us until they get the lights back on. Kids won't be going to school either so they might as well stay up here. We only live 20 minutes away from each other. My mom may come stay too. Thank goodness I have the room for all of them.

My sisters power came on earlier tonight as they were packing some things up to come here. She just sent me the pics of some of the destruction we saw today. This is only the tip of the iceberg. The most damaged areas we couldn't even get close to today. They weren't letting people into some towns. These were taken from around my hometown in Clever. Not nearly as bad as some of the other towns but still very humbling to see.

OMG... that's so sad. Is that an animal in the 2nd picture... Looks to be a cow with her udders? I am freaking out. I wish I could come and help everyone there. OMG.

Yeah...that's a cow. The barn in the 4th picture had 5 horses trapped in the back of it for a while. They were hollering on the radio for anyone with veterinarian experience to please head to the damage areas to help with search and rescue of dogs, cats and livestock.
The two houses in the 6th picture and 8th picture were side by side. The 6th one was the house that Bettys DIL died in. Betty lived in the other house.
We should have got the house in the 7th picture at a different angle. There were no windows left in that house. Everything was blown out the left side of that house. And the field to the left of it was covered in all their stuff.

OMG, this brings back memories of the tornado here. I just felt that all over again. How very, very tragic.
