Anyone here use Norton Personal Firewall with a cable modem?

We had downloaded the 15-day trail from Symantec's website and liked it a lot.
Decided to go ahead and purchase it.
Me, being the deal seeker that I am, found a GREAT BUY on eBay.
It's the 2002 version but it's brand and comes with 1yr of updates
I installed it and configured it (attempted to anyway). Either the security settings are too high or something.
I kept getting the alerts, couldn't even open my Outlook Express or IE (one alert after another).
I had it set to 'Automatic Internet Access Control'
Ended up getting frustrated and uninstalling only to re-install it and uninstall it AGAIN
LOL
If you use this with a cable modem, would you please be so kind as to help me configure this darn thing.
I mean I suppose I COULD always read the user's guide...........NAHHHHHHHH

Norton Personal Firewall is not the very best to use with cable modem. I use McAfee Firewall. I have the latest version and it has free updates whenever they are available which is once a week. It is very customisable and very easy user interface GUI. If you would like I can send you a copy.
