| GOod lord! I have no idea what the heck is wrong now! If anyone uses outlook express, I need help! I can't delete any of my messages and when I go to my delete folder it tells me it can't display the folder because of low disk space or low memory. I've cleaned and cleared so much I have no idea what else to do??? __________________ [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]

| Try deleting big emails one at a time. Or, if you have the preview pane open, make sure you are on a low bit email. Sometimes those HTML emails have so many links and java links going on, they can eat up your resources. Other than that, I'm not sure.

| Tried that, it just won't remove it from the inbox....it deletes a number off of my inbox but the message still stays there... Thanks Niki.

| hmm, let me check LostBoy.... I can receive emails, and yes I can send them out. This is what came up this morning now... An Outlook Express store file may be damaged. Please use a utility such as ScanDisk to verify and repair any damaged files. | I was having problems with Outlook Express. First I could receive but not send, then I could receive but not open the emails, then it quit on me completely and I couldn't get into it at all without a stupid error box popping up and automatically closing the program. Then my other Microsoft programs started going... couldn't use Word or Excell at all and Works was um... tempermental, to put it mildly. Come to find out, our hard drive was dying and that's what caused the problems. I doubt that's your problem tho.. gosh, these odd things only seem to happen to me. Oh, and my problem solver for everything... did you try shutting down the computer and restarting? Ok, I'll shut up now that I've added my two cents and let Lostboy handle it since he's much more knowledgable than I about computers. Good luck!! __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. | A similar question came up at Google Answers. I'm going to post the entire context so you can peruse the links suggested. The question was never formally answered, but maybe one of the ideas here will help you. Subject: deleting e-mail Category: Computers > Software Hello; I have e-mail that will not delete from my in box. It says it is going to trash, but never disapears. How do I get it off? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Request for Question Clarification xxxxxxxx on 13 Apr 2003 12:20 PDT What mail program are you using (such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape Mail, Eudora, etc.)? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Request for Question Clarification by xxxxxxx13 Apr 2003 12:30 PDT In addition to the above, What OS are you using? In case you are using Eudora, what version are you using? Would you like to delete all the trash or just the specific email you want to be removed? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Request for Question Clarification byxxxxxxon 14 Apr 2003 09:14 PDT Does the mail disappear and then come back, or does it never disappear? I'm thinking that for some reason perhaps the mail is being deleted, but that it is remaining on your mail server, so when you get your mail the letter comes back again. Is that a possibility? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clarification of Question by xxxxxon 14 Apr 2003 09:22 PDT When you have mail that you do not delete in your mail box, It just sits there. When you go to delete it it goes to trash. This e-mail will not leave the screen. The mail will not delete from the in box. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clarification of Question by xxxxxxon 14 Apr 2003 09:29 PDT The os is Windows 98 and I would like to just ged rid of the e-mail that will not go away and keep the pertinent ones that I use. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Request for Question Clarification byxxxxxxxon 14 Apr 2003 10:12 PDT There is a utility that may be able to help you easily erase the stubborn message.
