| Preschool Snack Idea Needed
I need help with a snack idea for my daughter`s preschool next week. The kids will be learning about caterpillars one day next week and we`re signed up to bring the snack and drink that day. I thought it would be cool to create a snack that looks like a caterpillar, but I`m having a hard time finding the right thing. I found a few websites that showed things like two bundt cakes put together to make an "s" shape, then frosted with green frosting and candies; or a bunch of cupcakes taken out of the cupcake papers, frosted with green frosting, and placed on a big piece of cardboard in the shape of an "s"; or some small Ritz crackers stacked together with peanut butter and decorated with various candies. The cake/cupcake idea is kind of neat, but that would mean needing to separate the whole thing before serving it to the kids. If anyone has any other ideas, please list them here! |

We made those for ds's birthday. Use small...the smallest probably... dixie cups because they are rich and the kids won't eat them all. Use chocolate pudding with the oreos crumbled on top and the gummy worm sticking out. |

Y'all have some great ideas! I'll have to use them for play dates, etc. I like that dirt cake; it's so cute and tastes so good! I have to add though... as a parent of a peanut-allergic child, PLEASE don't use peanut butter. It's one of the deadliest allergies that kids can have... even touching it can seriously harm some kids. Play it safe and skip it because you never know who in the class has this allergy. Just a thought... ![]() |

And some kids are allergic enough that if other kids in the room are eating it, enough is in the air to trigger a reaction. Maybe just some marshmallows stuck together? I'm all for quick & easy. ![]() |
