Cool PARTY!! I'll bring the whine, you bring the cheese

These are silly whines, so please bare with me (yes, I used that word on purpose! we have to make this party interesting ) just joking with ya

WHY is it that clothes look better in the store than at home? I tried on several outfits that I thought looked good. I put them on at home and I looked bad. AND those I tried on in the store that I thought, "Ok, I can work with this even though it doesn't look THAT good" , well those turn out to look good at home. Where did these lumps come from? This one dress makes me look all lumpy on my sides. Those weren't there when I left the house this morning.

Feel free to join in the fun.

Awww....Poor Loca....

Ok, ok... I hear ya babe. I swear, those stores must have special trick mirrors and lighting that make the clothes look different in the store than they do in reality. I bought a skirt that I THOUGHT was a deep hunter green. When I got it home, I discovered it was really brown. Now lemme tell ya, it didn't look brown at all in the store! I wouldn't have bought it if I had known it was brown - a girl doesn't need but so many brown skirts! I shoulda taken it back and complained, but the store I bought it at is an hour away from my house and I didn't feel like going back.

Trick mirrors . . . it just has to be. I bought a cute white shirt the other day, and thought it looked really good. Then when I got it home, I wondered if they switched shirts on my while I was checking out. It looked ridiculous on me!

Maybe I was just bloated. LOL

I think it's the mirrors, too. I think I'm going to buy a few for the home. There's nothing wrong with being in denial.

It's CRAZY! CRAAA-ZEEEE, I tell ya.

I have so many clothes just hanging around that looked GREAT when I tried them on. I keep them just in case I have some sort of dillusional day where I think they look great again.

Do we EVEN want to discuss bathing suits? Hmmmm? After the humiliation of trying on 3000 in the stores, finally deciding that maybe this ONE doesn't look like total crap, I get it home, put it on to go swimming, and find out the color is so putrid and makes my skin look soooo sallow, that there's no way in **** I'm wearing it in public.

Loca, I swear they put different mirrors in the stores so you look good (LOL). Maybe it's the lighting in there??? I've bought stuff too, thought it looked great in the store, then I get it home and I'm like, OK, now why does this fit so much baggier at home? I know I didn't just lose 10 pounds on the way from the store to my house.

I'm tired of the sizes changing. Ok, even I can admit to adding a few pounds here and there, but come on....every different brand has a different "cut" for every size. I think even Levi's are messing with me. I am not ALL legs, but I use to wear a 30-31 length and now 32's are just right for me. I sit down and they show too much sock...drives me nuts! Meijer's store is ok to try clothes on because they have an area where you walk into so you can see what the clothes look like from a farther view rather than from 2 feet away. Bathing suits are a nightmare no matter where I am..LOL! I am EXTREMELY glad to see more of the tankini's out there now...now I wish they would just be reasonable on pricing when it comes to buying the seperates.
