Howard Stern lackey strikes again

Howard Stern prankster "Captain Janks" scored one on MSNBC's DC-based Chris Matthews on Thursday evening. During his "Hardball" show, Matthews took a call from an alleged New York Times reporter at the Baghdad airport, regarding the arrival of US troops. The "reporter" said that many Iraqis were welcoming US forces and requesting tapes of Howard Stern's show. Chris then claimed "technical difficulties" and cut Janks off.....

Fundamental, are you a fan of Howard Stern? I like the guy, he can be rude and crude, but he says it like it is. You don't have to 2nd guess the guy. He says what's on his mind.

I never cared for Howard Stern.
When ever he gets any intersting people on his show... He never asks them any good questions. All he wants to talk about with them is...who are they having sex with.

I listen to Howard Stern every morning on my way to work. I think his radio persona is all an act that has made him very rich!

I used to listen to him at work when I could actually get a radio station to work there. He used to make me laugh.

He wrote an autobiography called "Private Parts" which was later made into a movie. Even if you don't like Howard, the movie is actually very good. It makes you see him in a different light.

I knew Howard Stern long ago, before he went to New York (WNBC, WXRK). I think he is funny, but there are others on the radio that are funnier and don't have to resort to talking about lesbianism as much as Howard does.

Private Parts, the movie, had some fabrication he presented as fact. The book was closer to the truth, but a lot was left out. But, hey, he can do that if he wants to.

Regarding Janks and the phone call, Janks is not a salaried person on the show (as far as I know). He is a guy from Philadelphia who has been getting Howard Stern's name in ridiculous ways on the news, and talk shows for years. I appreciate his ability to allow us all to see the vulnerability, and failings of live broadcast news.

I think I've heard of Janks calling shows like Regis and Rosie and getting on. I don't remember the details of the calls though.

I'm a fan of Howard's. He used to be on the radio here in MN, but they took him off a couple years ago. I catch him on E! when I can. Some shows I don't care for. He is obsessed with sex, but sex sells right?

I was surprised when him and his wife divorced. His loyalty to his wife was endearing (was that spelled right?)
