Iraq says they will ignore Geneva Convention on how to treat our POWS

I read a yahoo news one of Iraqs ambassadors said that Iraq will treat any American POWS as terrorists, even threatened to torture them!!! He said they will Ignore the Geneva Conventions on how to treat POW's because they are not at war with us, we have overtaken them illegally.

It is a violation of the Geneva convention to show prisoners of war in a humiliating way, and they have already done that, so we are not jumping the gun.

And though they say that now (I heard that story, too), I DID hear BEFORE the war began, that they said they would NOT, if Bush chose to attack them. They felt that he would be acting illegally, so they didn't feel they had to 'go by the rules', either.

The UN gave complete unanimous approval to all of this earlier. We just wanted a more updated one.
Saddam is a monster so it should come as no surprise to anyone that he would do this kind of thing. Another reason women do not belong on the front lines in my opinion.

and then again this might be propoganda.....it could be his own people dressed in american uniforms.....iraq procured american and british uniforms before the war started....and also it could be from the 90 conflict. you are dealing with people who keep showing those films of saddam and his cabinet which was obviously before march 19!! did you all see the film from this morning where men along the tigris river were shooting into the reeds and water supposedly at a paratrooper in the river? if he jumped from a plane...wheres the plane?? it doesnt exist..

I am a military wife & this is so heartwrenching....
The Pentagon annouced ;
10 US Soldiers either killed or captured.
Pray for them please. Saddam will use them in everyway
possible,from humiliating them-to-using them as human-shelids.

be propoganda. as, Saddam and his entourage, are big
on theatrical acts.His imaginary government is a great
example,-Saddam simply announces that he has won

The state Iraqi News Agency (INA) said on Saturday that Saddam had offered to reward any Iraqi who shot down a U.S. or British aircraft, or killed or captured a pilot or soldier.

INA said an order by Saddam stipulated that any Iraqi fighter shooting down an enemy warplane would be paid 100 million dinars (around $33,000 on the black market) and 50 million for a downed helicopter.

Iraqis would get 50 million dinars for capturing a pilot or soldier and 25 million for killing one, INA said. The reward for shooting down a missile would be 10 million dinars.
