Update on Scott for those who are interested.

Since my HD crashed and I lost all the emails of those of you who were sending cards I thought this would be the best way to update you on his condition.

They had done skin grafts on him, some of which took right away and other that took a second try.
Well all the grafts finally took and he was released from the hospital over the weekend.
He has to have one hour of physical therapy every day to avoid the skin shrinking.
He will require some major cosmetic surgery but all in all we expect him to be physically fine when everything is said and done.
He will be out of work for quite sometime but that is probably the best thing for him because this whole thing has to have taken it's toll on him emotionally and he'll need to get over it.

Again. I would like to thank you all for your prayers and cards.
It's helped more then you know.

Scott is a coworker of mine who was in the nightclub fire in RI.
He was burned about 40% of his body but luckily made it out alive thanks to an outsider who broke a window and pulled him out to safety.

OH the poor guy. Have you seen him? How do they keep him comfortable with the pain?

Glad to hear he's doing better. I guess it will just be a matter of time now 'til he is like his old self again.

Thanks for the update Teah! I'm glad to hear his skin grafts are taking. I still have my card to send out to him. It's nice to hear he has received other cards and that they are helping him emotionally.

I also just found out a man who worked in my local Stop & Shop died in the fire. I was shopping there last week and saw a notice posted and there has been a fund set up in his name. So terribly sad.

Gives me chills thinking about that person who broke the window and pulled him out. His own personal guardian angel. I will keep Scott in my prayers. Burns are so painful and hard to deal with. Thanks for the update Teah.

Teah, just wondering if you have another update on Scott. I keep thinking about my 19 year old nephew and how it could have been him. I hope his physical therapy is working and that his scaring heals greatly either on its own or through cosmetic surgery. I was also wondering if his insurance is covering the costs of the care for his wounds or do you know if there is a fund set up for him? If there is a fund, would you please PM me with the information. Thanks.

Scott is still out of work and has his physical therapy at home. He's doing well. He is expected to make a wonderful recovery *maybe with the exception of his hands, they still are not certain how that will turn out*. Between donations, Insurance and government emergency assistance funds everything will be covered.

I will post again at a later time when changes warrant it.
