| War Debate
Im Pro War... Anybody wanna debate? I am in the Army Reserve as a Team SGT in a Psychological Ops unit, and am pretty much activated right now, will be at Ft Bragg soon, followed by Iraq-a-Vegas. I want to have a debate with any and all Anti war protesters... ATTN moderators... I fully respect all the views of the protesters... I welcome the protests, after all we are free, and have the freedoms provided to us because we have an awesome military machine. I want to have a very peaceful respectful debate. I just dont understand the obvious problems that the protesters ignore, which I will be happy to point out... I am a good friend of an Iraqi dissident that fled the country when he was 14 with his family to escape the torture... We've been friends for nearly 15 years, and to hear him talk about the atrocities under saddam's rule would make any protester switch sides... It's not about oil, If it was, Bush wouldnt offer exile for Saddam... Iraq needs a regime change to save all the innocent civilians... By the way, look up Psychological Operations... we are in the business of SAVING lives, and I am proud to do so, and would give my life in a heartbeat if just a few of the Iraqi children could experience a free life, free of Saddam forever... All you anti war people lets debate, I'll shoot all your opinions down... __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. I am for it for some reasons and against it in others. The only reason I am against it is the same for all wars. I hate the death of innocents and the economy problems it causes. But I am also for it for other reasons.

Hey Tasker... I'm gonna change my MOS soon if I'm not there soon baby!!! Our unit is "Special Ops", but I have yet to see an Airborne school slot... I do it in the civilian world though... I still gotta wear the Airborne tab which I hate cause Im not qualled... Where did they go? Alot of my homies in PSYOPS are headed to FT Polk for JRTC and im going to IRWIN for NTC... What rank is your SIL? Cujo... I agree, I dont like my stocks going down, and dont like 2 bucks a gallon at the pump... I also dont like innocents dying, which most of the repressed Iraqi army is composed of... Thats why Im PSYOPS, we convince them to surrender so we dont have to kill them, and dont really have to kill too many... My old specialty, Tanks, of course you kill alot of people.

Nobody wants to debate? I have seen alot of people looking at what I wrote on this topic, and nobody wants to challenge my views... Saddam is akin to Hitler and Stalin and must be removed, and like I said earlier, I'd die to enable the Future Iraqi's to live in peace... I hope I changed a few views of some of the protesters on this board, or at least got the hampsters turning in the cages...

Ok so more views and no replies... the supporters can support my view, and I welcome the negative feedback about what I said... Gee I freakin wonder why I havent got any negative replies to my first post... Not to be egotistic, trust me, but Im right... And its obvious if any Anti war protesters have read this thread they might be thinking differently... The point is, Saddam is like 65 and could rule till he is 80... I WILL stand in the way of him ruling Iraq for another 15 years and I will do it NOW... Yes we will lose American lives and we will take Iraqi lives, however I am a firm believer that "when it's your time to go, its your time to go". I dont wanna die and I dont wanna kill, I'd much rather be fishin 24/7 on a lake or ocean and livin like we did pre 9-11... Fact is that doesnt exist now, it has been tarnished... I will Paypal anyone $20 that can brign up a valid point not to attack Saddam... This applies if I cannot turn it around to views the whole world shoud be able to see... If I have no answer, I'll need your email to pay you.... I dont think I'll be dishin out any dineros... I welcome support as well as negative responses to my posts, but make it clear if you wanna debate... Brign it on!!!!

It was sort of late when you started the poll, hopefully you will get some responses in the morning. Sometimes people are more intimidated by a debate because they feel attacked. That may be why people are being more tight lipped. As for my opinion, well where I am at right now I want the best thing done. If my president, and my DH tells me this is the best thing I do trust that. (I can hear the groans already. ) The reason why my DH's opinion is so valuable is because at heart I am a pacifist, so it makes knowing what the right thing to do a little harder. I really need him to help me balance that out. I do think this guy is evil. Its depressing that we are not getting support from the UN. Its depressing to think of our countrymen dying. I worry about North Korea also.__________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. Mayfly.... I understand your views... If any Anti war supporters have read this and not responded, no matter if they are intimidated by the solid evidence I present or not, it pretty much makes it clear as day that they have nothing to dismiss the War, other than losing American and Innocent Iraqi lives, which I have already dismissed as something that will happen. I dont wanna attack anyone, but the lack of responses to this thread indicates that nobody can challenge the truth... I pray that the protesters all over America will realize thier right to believe in what they want, but at the same time will realize that WAR, while costing a few brave Americans and probably lots of Iraqi's will ultimately result in a lifestyle in the future where Iraqi children will grow up in a democratic society and will prosper... Lots of our troops will pay the ultimate sacrifice for that opportunity... I have no wife or kids, so Im not afraid, however Im also not suicidal, Im just realistic... If I can look down from up above on an Iraq that is free like the God Blessed USA then my work will surely be completed.... I am gung ho about this whole operation against Iraq because I know it's pretty much cut and dry... We are gonna wipe them out probably faster than Desert storm... Including ousting Saddam... I am not scared, I believe in Jesus and if my time arrives, I pray the lord my soul to take..... However, I am scared about N Korea, because they are plain Freakin NUTS... The only reason they are doin this is because we are at "war" with Iraq... As far as being a peace lover, trust me if I was a 60's child, Id have a multi colored VW bus and id be chillin... Id much rather have a job where I could fish every morning at 4 am and still make it to work... Things have changed in the US of A and I will FIGHT TO THE DEATH for the colors that dont bleed... I still have yet to see someone contest my views... I know out of all the DOD members there must be some Anti war protesters... (Other than Military wives, because your views are obviously understanded and respected)... I will await and appreciate your input... Anyone??? Maybe I should send this to the UN... __________________ [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] [Only registered and activated users can see links. | scooter I thank you
for standing up for our country. My only debate against war is this- We should NOT go to war until we start deporting people who are in this country!!!! The fact that we allowed Osama's realitives in this country is amazing. 9-11 could've been prevented by just having stricter laws on immigration. I know I'm going to hear it over that remark but I'm sorry. We need to really be concerned with if we go to war what are these people going to do? I don't think it's fair to say we should or shouldn't go to war because I'm not putting my life on the line, I'm not in the army. I just hope Bush looks at all of the facts and makes a rational decision, because let's face it, he'll be protected safe and sound here in the USA. __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. | No debate here buddy.
I back the president. I hope our boys come home safe and sound. I hope the world will be a better place. I can live with a bad economy because we have something far more important to take care of right now.

Looks like no one wants to take you on...so I will tell you the arguments I have been hearing and you may respond to them: #1 It is all about oil and power and the Bush administration is just power hungry and want to control Iraq's oil reserves. #2 We have not proven that Sadaam has weapons of mass destruction. #3 We need to stop acting as the "controller" of the rest of the world and let people solve their own problems. After all, we are not solving our own problems here at home. #4 We need to promote peace, not war. Negotiation is a much better means of helping other countries. I have even heard that the US should just disarm itself.....

Thanks to chippers21 for adding a different viewpoint to the "gung-hos!" for war. She is exactly right about the POWER thing. Bush and his cabal are attempting to re-draw the Middle East. It's not exactly the OIL, but the POWER to control the prices of oil. As one board says, it's not Oil for FUEL, but OIL for POWER. This will not stop with Iraq; it will go into Iran, and possibly, Saudi Arabia. What now, Afghanistan? Have we forgotten ye? Bush stands for ENDLESS WAR, DEATH, and LIES. Trusting his government is for FOOLS...open your eyes, people! We save money on these boards, but let's try to save the lives of Iraqis, and our servicemen. There is endless more that every American should know about this unjust war (if it is to be). PLEASE, be informed. Read the Tabletalk at salon.com....WhiteHouse thread....it will open your eyes. Remember this: WE THE PEOPLE are the Government...bush is employed by us, and serves US, not vice versa. NEVER GIVE UP...peace... __________________ [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] [Only registered and activated users can see links.
