Rolling eyes THE MONKEY LAMP
Ok.... This all started about 6 months ago.

I wanted to go shopping to pick out some new things for the house. DH doesn't much care for shopping. So we get to the store, and he makes it a point to find the ugliest thing in the entire store. He says that's what he wants. He wants THE MONKEY LAMP.

Lucky for me the ugly thing costs $80. Well ... He's not going to pay $80 even though he knows that I hate the thing and don't want it in my house.

So we went to the mall yesterday...
I'm shopping in one store while he disappears.
After a while he comes back carrying a shopping bag.

Guess what's in the bag? Give up?

It's THE MONKEY LAMP.

Dang thing was on clearance... So now I must share my home with THE MONKEY LAMP.

LOL...
I'm getting used to it.
Decided to do the whole pool table room in stupid stuff.
Make it look like I wanted it that way.

I bought three monkey figures to sit on the top of the computer desk. They are the See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil monkeys.

Too bad I bought such a nice mirror for above the fireplace. It's going to look out of place.

That thing is a riot. I would have sent him back to the store with it...LOL. My DH knows better than to bring any type of furnishing into the house without checking with me first. He admits that most women have a better "eye" for those type of things than men do.

It's not what I thought it would look like, I thought it would have a few monkeys on it. It's unique looking. It looks like something a person could get used to. Definitely a conversation piece when friends come over. Think of it this way, your DH is happy and isn't that what matters? It could have been worse, it could have been a painting of Elvis on velvet (LOL).
