 2-Way Mirrors.....very interesting I friend of mine emailed this to me....very interesting! Do you know how to determine if a mirror is 2-way or not? >> This is not to scare you, but to make you aware. It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it. So, how do we determine any amount of certainty what type of mirror we are looking at? >> Just conduct this simple test: Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror. >> However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE, FOR IT IS a 2-WAY MIRROR! >> So remember, every time you see a mirror, do the "fingernail test." | I always check mirrors to see if they are 2 way mirrors but it is geting harder to tell. Thanks for the great tip.

| Works with anything not just your fingernail. Always look around bathrooms.Not just in stores but bars as well because there are some sick people out there. By the way many dressingrooms in stores have places for someone to watch for shoplifters.When you go to a dressingroom area look up and see if there are any odd looking fixtures or mirrors.Most of the stores locate them where they can notice the shop lifter hiding things rather than placing them where they look at or below eyelevel.Looking down is easier to catch a theif than get a -----show.If you feel like someone is watching you get out of the dressing room!Remember you can buy and return (try on at home).Stores can tell you what their policy for monitoring their dressing rooms are.When I installed cameras and 2-way mirrors in a department store most of the cameras where over corners of department where theives would go to hide store goods in their bag or clothing.Most 2-way mirrors looked down on the hallway into the dressing rooms, handheld electronics and over the jewlery department.Many stores have gotten rid of 2-way mirrors in any clothing department and gone to ink clips on clothing or electric theif detectors. __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links.
