| Hi Pip-I'd be more then happy to try and help you. I've installed memory in many computers. No standard answer regarding memory, but in general most PC133 can be used in PC100 system. Basically this number represents Front Side Bus<think that's the word>. Just make sure to turn power off<duh> and unplug. Make sure to properly ground yourself-i.e. touch metal or you can wear one of those wrist grounders. Go ahead and put the larger memory in the first bank and the smaller memory module in the second bank. No need to get nervous about doing this stuff. Once you have installed the memory module-plug back in and power up. If it beeps it usually means the memory isn't seated properly or the memory is not compatiable. Sometimes these Manufacturers-Packard Bell etc. require specific memory modules, but since you have the module already it's worth a try. Should have 192mb-you can check this in system resources If memory serves correct. Hope this helps you, and if you have any questions will be glad to help. Happy VD Kylee ! ![]()

| Took a look over at IBM Site-Should be fine !! You might want to consider upgrading the Video Card at some point if you are running the original. Maybe a 32mb or 64mb AGP. | Jeff and Naomi...... Mr. B ~ THANKS! You've been a GREAT help! She has a Pentium II processor, and yes, she probably has a 4MB video card. Her computer is running EXTREMELY slowly, and is driving her NUTS. I did check it for viruses, and she had 71 infected files. Do you think she had upgraded her virus definitions??? Nooooooooooo, not since January 2002!!! Geesh. So, I cleaned that up, which helped, but it's still pretty slow, and at 64MB, you can understand. Actually, I'm taking an online computer class at B&N right now, called "Be Your Own PC Doctor." I've only gotten through Lesson 1, though, so I need to get cracking! I've done some 'inside' work in computers, but I've never messed with memory. Only installed CDROM drives and burners. So you think the DC133MHz is the same as PC133MHz?
