| Dumb question #5699...lol Do you think when dogs hear water running they feel the need to go to OUT? I've noticed everytime I go to the bathroom, they want to go OUT immediately afterward. I don't always take them, so i'ts not a training/habit thing. Hmmmmm? __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. | Nope... not running water. Now if he hears the phone ring... And I sit down to talk to someone, and am not paying attention to him... Well, That makes him want to go out every time. LOL when I go in to use the bathroom he wants to sit on my lap. But Cashhound, I think your puppy is probably a little too big for that. ![]()

| Ok reading this question makes me want to know what you think on this issue LOL Since I have been looking for a dog and you know dogs tend to do what they are told by their owners if they are trained right LOL Well say I get a dog from like a spanish speaking family or some other langueage than mine LOL Will they then have to learn my language LOL Now see my dh thinks thats a dumb question LOLLOL |

| That's NOT a stupid question, hmsram! We once babysat a dog that was originally from Germany & yep, the dog only knew commands in German. Unfortunately the dog wasn't exactly bilingual, so there were problems getting him to behave during the daytime hours while my husband wasn't at home. At night though, he was a perfectly happy little dog since my husband speaks German. So... if you're going to get a dog to keep from a Spanish speaking family that has trained him in Spanish - I'd say learn the commands in Spanish and then also use the English words until the dog understands both languages. ![]() |
