I am at work and its a horrible day

I was humiliated and made fun of today by one of my superiors.. but because this person is a "star employee" the manager will not do anything or say anything. He said if I want something to change, I have to do it.

So that means I will be the subject or ridicule behind my back.

This hurts so bad... I used to really like the people here and felt that I was liked. Well I just found out i am the biggest joke here.

I am feeling really bad right now.... lots of tears


And I still have 7 hours to go.....

Keep your chin up and no matter what they say or do you show them that they are just being total idiots!! They are acting like little grade school kids and if that is how they want to be then so be it.........because one of these days they will meet their match and possibly experience humiliation in the biggest of ways!!!!!

Besides.....if this 'superior' is acting this way then all I can say is this person isn't much of a person at all. And to be honest......sounds like a supervisor I had to deal with before I quit. Boy was it nice to quit that job!! But on to you.......DO NOT let them see you cry and DO NOT let them know this bothers you. You be strong and bigger than them.......then when the times comes for you to quit, move, etc.........walk up to each of them and tell them how much you will miss them and how wonderful it was to work with them. That will blow their minds and make them feel like gum on the bottom of a shoe!!

(((Maren))) I'm so sorry this person treated you so poorly today! I'm sure you are liked very much by your other coworkers. Please don't let the actions of this person ruin your feelings towards the others. Sometimes people don't stand up for others because they are afraid they will be ridiculed themselves [I know, that stinks]. But please don't let the inaction of your coworkers make you feel they don't like you.

There are mean and disrespectful people out there in life and sometimes we crash right into them. This person sounds very immature. No matter what happened today, she had no right to treat you so poorly. I'm sure the others think she is pretty rotten, no matter her "status".

Keep your chin up. You have such a bright future ahead of you. Don't let this person keep your spirits down!!! Aren't you moving to Florida in the Spring? Well then....she isn't worth your time to worry about! You have much bigger things to be thinking about....right!

Remember when people say mean things it's usually because they're envious of you. Jealousy tends to breed mean people... so they attack just to make themself feel bigger and more important than they are. Keep your head high honey. Rise above it. If it gets too intolerable to handle, try thinking about leaving for the day... it won't mean defeat. It means you have respect for you and you won't take tolerate what was said. If you can report it, do so.

Quite possibly someone is jealous of your success in landing a job in a warm climate doing what you really want to do - teaching... not working in a store. Nothing wrong with working in a store, but... you've gone to school and successfully found employment doing what you love and did it long distance.

A big hug for you Maren, squeeeze. I know just how that can be at work. I work with girls who talk behind people's backs. It's just lousy to have to go to work and knowing that they do that. Today my immediate boss told me I had to go over to the plasma cleaner to clean the parts, she said, "You know, you should be over there cleaning the parts". I told her someone was using the machine and I had just gotten back from there to check to see if I could. This was like 7 in the morning and I was fuming after that. She said someone else mentioned it to her. I'm thinking, yeh one of the women who talk behind my back for sure. I just want to go to work, do my work, not be bothered by trivial stupid things or people and then go home. I'm glad DOD is here when I get home 'cause I can really get stressed out there at times. I feel for you Maren. Ignore those idiots. They are probably just jeolous of you. Remember, you're smarter, you have a college education, you have a good job coming up, you have alot going for you. Like my Psychology teacher said last week, a person can only bother you if you let what they say bother you. Everytime stuff happens, I think of what she said 'cause it is so true.
