I am passing this on from ILoveElf who is unable to be online and post at the moment.

There is a real need for glasses for those who can't afford them, especially children's. If you have any old ones that you are going to throw away or recycle, please consider instead dropping them in your local Lion's Club drop box so they can help those in need.

I have two old pair of Tom's and since he just got new ones I am putting them in the box when I run to the store tonight.

I just got new glasses, my last pair broke, but in cleaning up i found an older pair. very ugly and old but someone will probably love them I was wondering where I could drop them. That is probably why i still have them hanging around at least 5 years later. I am always wondering where to give them I will remember this time and try to drop them off.

For many years I have donated my old glasses to the Lion's Club. They have boxes in banks, doctors' offices, and if you call they will tell you where in your city. It's a very worthwhile cause.
