Love I saw Schmidt...

Today a friend and I saw "About Schmidt" and we thought it was a wonderful movie. It was very poignant and moving, but I can understand why it wouldn't appeal to a younger viewer. There were funny times as well as sad ones, and the cast did a great job of getting a message across.

Exclamation saw it too.......

Really WONDERFUL movie...really enjoyed it but it DID make me sad....GREAT acting! I am not sure that it is an Academy Award calliber movie or not, but it surely was good! Jack and Kathy weren't too shabby either (two of my favorites)!

My thought was that he wasn't paying enough attention to his daughter when she was growing up, and now he had a chance to do it with this foster child. He was touched by the letter he received.

He REALIZED almost too late........

luvmetender, DO NOT READ what I typed!!!!!!!

...that he just went through the motions of life and missed out on everything. He really didn't appreciate life, didn't KNOW his wife(even his best friend had an affair with his wife and he didn't know it until he found the letters!), he was expendable in his job, he never had time for his daughter.....he realized this all with the child he "adopted" and poured his heart out to.

I think it teaches us all a lesson...NOT to take life for granted, to live life to the fullest, tell your family members how much you love them and appreciate them before it is too late!!!
