I loved the guy that Simon said was the worst singer in NY, and then Ryan Seacrest took him outside to find someone worse on the street. People just walking by sang better than him. Then when Seacrest slowly walked away...lol...and then the camera panned back slowly while the guy was singing all alone on the street. I was rolling...lol!

I felt really bad for the guy in the yellow suit. The suit was hideous [I just have to agree with Simon on that...lol], but when he was crying and said he was all alone and had no way to get home....oh man, that was hard to hear. It's so awful when any of them cry. I hate to see someone hurting. That's the only part of the show that really gets to me. Thank goodness, the angry people make up for it...lol! They are so funny!

There were some really strong female voices. The twins were so cute and had great voices. I think this will be a good season. The people they picked are pretty strong. I can't wait to hear them sing their hearts out.

I agree........it's hard watching people get hurt.
As far as Simon goes, I like him. He says it like it is BUT often he takes a lil TOO far and is down right hurtful. You can be honest while being TACTFUL

But don't you think the music field is pretty much a cut throat business, and if Simon wasn't so hard on these kids, they'd get eaten alive out there in the music world? Simon doesn't pull any punches, tells it like it is, you either like what he has to say, disagree with his opinion of you, or don't care. I feel sorry for the kids auditioning that go out of there crying. Their dreams have been shattered. Some of the auditions they showed on TV were hysterical 'though. I mean, some people who just can't sing at all and think they are good singers, how could you not know? That just blows me away!

WEEK TWO
On Tuesday, January 28 at 8:00pm/7:00c, the second week of AMERICAN IDOL starts! See more bad auditions, people who maybe don't take it so well when they're rejected, and some actual good singers if you can believe that.

But the real action takes place on Wednesday, January 29 at 8:30pm/7:30c during a special 90-minute episode! That's when the judges take a look at everybody that went through to Hollywood, and cut them down to the 32 semi-finalists! And that's when you take over. Each week after that, you'll see another group of semi-finalists, and you'll keep voting until we have the next AMERICAN IDOL!

So don't miss the shows this week! The announcement of the 32 semi-finalists is something you need to be around for! You need to get to know these 32 people!
