Prayers needed
I won't go into details, but a close member of my family has to be a main witness in a court hearing for grand jury today. She is only 13 and is very scared. I only hope and pray, after her going through this, that justice is served.

The Power of Prayer does work wonders, so, I am asking for a few today. Of course, I will be with her, as will her Mom and my other DD, but the poor child is really terrified.

Hopefully the thought of doing the right thing will help her do this.

I just sent my *new* kid back home to appear in court (against her ex boyfriend) also.

What a shame it is so hard on the innocent ones.

Awww...I'll be holding her in my thoughts today Momma Mary...I think I would be scared as all get out...can't imagine being just 13 and dealing with this. She shows great strength by doing so. {{{to all of you}}}

Thank you for your prayers and kind words.

She did not have to testify. He plead guilty just before the hearing. He did not get enough of a sentence for what he did and my gd was upset about that....but the prosecutor tried to explain to her how that part of the law works. At least he will not go free for a while.

She can go the day of sentencing (even though the judge already made a deal with his attorney) She can tell the judge in front of him..how all this has affected her life and how she feels or she can write a statement and the witness advocate will read it. Her statement will be made a part of his record.

Give her hugs from all of us.Please let her know we are praying for her and that we are proud of the courage she showed in being willing to tell the court what they need to know to stop this it from hurting someone else the way she was.
