With the billions of music sales in that time period, a class-action lawsuit will have millions of plaintiffs and the enormous wealth of big record companies to suck on. The lawyers will each pocket milllions and millions of dollars, while they throw a piddly $20 to each consumer who overpaid in the first place. These lawyers are a parasite on society.
