Chatter box What were you doing at the stroke of midnight?!

We had a small party with some friends and it was wonderful! At midnight we had a new years toast (and kiss). I have to say for the terrible day I had yesterday that last night was just wonderful! We had a chance to unwind and relax and be with some people that we really love. We laughed and laughed so much last night. We played some games, talked, and ate alot! lol This is the 3rd year in a row that we have had them over for a party so evidently this has turned into a tradition for us!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Sleeping...lol! I just couldn't stay awake last night. My dh and I were suppose to watch a movie, but I kept falling asleep! Oh well. My dd was up kind of late and kept me busy, so I guess that's why I was so tired. I almost made it to midnight!!! I remember seeing 11:30 and that was about it...lol.

Glad you had a good time! Happy New Year!

Sitting in front of the tv with my kids. The tv was boring, but the company was great!

I was on the front porch vigorously beating my triangle...the kind the cook had on the chuckwagon and used to call all the cowboys to dinner. Anyway, that went well until somehow I managed to whack my finger which brought the triangle concert to an abrupt halt. Now I have a mangled finger to go with the little toe I broke on Christmas eve! Happy New Year!!!!!

I had worked all day, and had a headache and was stressed out, so I decided to go see a movie by myself after work. Watched THE TWO TOWERS (again!) for 3 hours to unwind and then came home and ate dinner. At about 10 I was feeling really tired, so I watched the news and then went to bed....

but then at midnight I was woken up by the fireworks (I live nearby from where they where having them) so I wished myself a happy new year and went back to bed.

It was a little depressing being alone all night... but next year in Florida I am planning on not letting that happen again!

We were watching "Wuthering Heights" 'til 11, then a show on Plastic Surgery, then switched over to see Dick Clark and Times Square, had a toast of sparkling cider at midnight with a kiss.
Happy New Year everyone! Hope you had a great New Year's Eve!

My DH had to work, so me, my 8 and 11 year old DD's were all cuddled up together in our king size bed, watching the ball drop.

We had a fire going in our fireplace, and we were watching David Letterman (rerun), but all of a sudden, I asked DH, "What time is it?" and he said, "Midnight." So we got up and kissed, then went back to watching TV. I called my mom to wish her Happy New Year, because it's a tradition we've done ever since I got married, to see who can call who first to wish them Happy New Year. I called first, but she answered the phone, "Happy New Year!" so I don't know who won. LOL. I think DH was asleep by then, and I got on the computer for awhile, then went to sleep around 3:00.

This is fun reading what everyone was doing at midnight! We had a quiet evening at home. We played games and munched on snacks so that was fun. The kids are getting old enough to play games now. The baby fell asleep about 9:30. We started watching the "Hey Arnold" movie we rented at around 10:30 at that made the 4 and 6 year olds crash on the couch! At midnight my 10 year old and DH and I went outside to watch the fireworks from Disneyland! It was an awesome show! I thought they would just have a few seconds worth but it went on for about 8-10 minutes. Some of the neighbors were outside too. It was fun since this was our first New Year there. The younger three slept right thru the fireworks!!

Hmmm, at midnight I was holding hands with Scott watching the worst rendition of "Back in Black" that I have ever heard, lol! It was that MTV thing with the Foo Fighters and that bafoon from Shallow Hal. That was simply a horrid performance! I stayed at his place and we crashed about 1:00

At the stroke of midnight I kissed my DH, then sipped my free 2 tablespoons of champagne, blew my horn, threw my streamers, and cranked my noise maker!! There was also a disposable camera involved in there too........ It was a great night surrounded by family and friends. Happy New Year everyone!

Hee hee, had a whole new "approach" for this new year I gave the kiddos a kiss and hug and then off I went to soak in the tub. If I made it out in time for the stroke of midnight then so be it, if not..I would happily bring in the new year in a RELAXING fashion I had just gotten out when DH knocked on the door, he said he was about 10 seconds late for our kiss, but that was quite alright with me So I guess at the stroke of midnight I just finished up a nice smelling, hot bath

I was reading my 3 older kids a chapter out of the book The Hobbit. Then we ran outside, and blew horns and then pounced on poor daddy sleeping in the bed.

Red face

Dh and I are so pathetic, LOL....it was his day off so we stayed up late (as usual on his days off) to watch a movie and went to bed at 12:15 completely forgetting it was New Year's Eve.

LOL!!
