Unhappy Today is just another horrible day I have had this year....

I just got a call that my grandmother has bone cancer...

I just am sooo sad I am sick...

She has been feeliing sick for a while about a month and finally went to the ER by ambulance yesterday.
She has refused to eat get out of bed or see us all willingly for a week now.
Tonite came the awful news... No surgery to help nothing...

In feb. I lost my other grandmother.
In aug. my mom was diagnsed with lung cancer and had a third of her lung removed and now this.
I just dont know what to think or do anymore.
I feel like I am in a horrible dream .

I am so close to my grandmother who is sick now and dont think I can bear losing her.
I have prayed so hard day in and day out ...I just dont understand.

I am begging for all the prayers I can get for my grandmother.
Maybe a miracle will happen.

Now I keep hoping this is all a horrible dream.

I just can not understand why , why after all we have all been thru ... I love her so much I just cant see why god would take her from all of us.

Somebody please pray for my family please........
I keep praying but its not working .......................

Baffled

Because I'm not there to give you a great big hug in person.....
(((((((((( hmsram ))))))))))

Saddened by your post, my heart really goes out to you! I can sense your pain, your poor heart must be breaking(understandably so).
You can sit back and ask WHY and unfortunately there are no answers. It's enough to make you question your faith, but on the other hand it's often our faith that keeps us going.
Since becoming a Hospice volunteer I've really come to appreciate the fact that each and every day is truly a gift.
It's NEVER easy losing a loved one, instead of focusing on what lies ahead try to focus on the here and now. Treasure this time with your grandmother. I know it may not seems as though it is a "gift" it is, some people never have that time, never get to say goodbye.

Naturally there will be a void in your life but I do hope and pray that in time the pain becomes bearable!

I hope your grandmother does not suffer and is able to have some quality of life. Hospice really IS wonderful (I'm proud to be part of the "team"), perhaps you could look into it (just a thought).
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Naomi

Naomi in the coming days after the cat scans and mri's are done I will talk to them about hospice.....I just called my sis a bit ago to talk to her but she was at my granmas house with the family
...
Kinda made me sadder as I live 350miles away and cant be there with them all.
Right now I am home alone. And just so wish I could be with them.
She said that every now and then my granma yells out for help.

The day after christmas my grandma had us all called to her house cause she said it was her last day, that she talked to god.
She has also said she saw the angels at her bedroom door.

Now shes in the hospital ... I thank god someone in our family is with her at all times. I jsut wish I didnt live so far away..........

I hope the angels are still with her to ... I belive she saw them and I hope shes still got them with her, and is not in pain...

If your grandma still has some hope, you might try a holistic approach to healing, a naturopathic doctor. I know it's a long shot, but it's the only hope I can give you.

I feel your sadness. I lost my grandma when I was just 9 years old.

Didn't realize you were so far away, sorry.
A few suggestions:
Make an audio tape for your grandmother, she will love hearing your voice!
OR
Make a video (if you have the resources) and let her "see" you.

Families often find comfort in Hospice, knowing that someone is with their loved one when they are unable to be. Sure beats being alone!

Naomi has a great idea with the tape. Also the hospice.
I know my friend who passed away had such excellent help from them. also so did his family.

Precious girl, I will be praying for you. My heart aches as I read your post, I can hear how horrible this is. We are here for you babe, please know that. I know there is nothing we can do, nothing to make this better, nothing to take away the agony. But we care.

Naomi does have a great idea, about the cassette tape or video tape.

(((((((((((((((big huge hug))))))))))))))))))
wish I could give that to you in real life. Know that we care.

It's always so sad to lose one you love.
But I'm always thankful I had them for the time I did.
Hope you can feel that way too.

As for the video~ great idea.
I made one for a close loved one I was far away from and they really enjoyed it. I was able to tell them I love them without crying and making them sad. It was the next best thing to being there.

<<<<<hugs>>>>>>

I wish there was something I could say to make you feel better and make all the pain go away. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Although it is hard to accept a loved one being so ill you have to look at it in the positive......she has lived a long life and has gotten to see so many things and be a part of your life. And as hard as it is to understand this is all a part of God's plan for her. Just think though......she is headed to a place where there is no pain and where the streets are paved with gold! Cherish all the time you did have with her and be thankful that you did have that......so many families don't have that closeness. You have been blessed by having her in your life. And most of all.......know that God hasn't abandoned you or her. He loves you both very much. It is through these times that you must draw him closer and not question his plan. <<<<<<hugs>>>>>>>

Oh my...I'm so sorry to hear this.
I lost my own mother to cancer three months ago, and we were very close. There really isn't anything anyone can say that will make your pain less.

You will find that you will go through different emotional time frames. You may cry nonstop for days.....then start feeling better and thinking you're OK...and then WHAM!!! it hits you again. And sometimes for no reason (it seems).....you'll have a sudden rush of sadness come over you.

Rerun favorite times over and over in your head....they will make you smile, and then they will make you cry.

Then there are the dreams. You will have bad ones, and good ones....and with all of them you will wake up with tears. I had a dream that God let my Mom come back to spend just one more day with us....it was wonderful....and awful all together.

We all care and many understand how you feel...try your hardest to get through this, there are still many people who need and love you.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I know being far away makes it worse!!!
You probably feel helpless to do anything, and that's a horrible feeling.

I also think the audio tape/video idea is a great one.

You might also want to create a scrapbook of your grandmother's life (for yourself and your family) as a way of honoring and remembering her and working through your grief.

(((hugs)))

Unhappy update

Thank you all so much for all the kind words and prayers...

NOt to much good news to pass on today.

The cancer they say is in the spine, brain, lymph nodes and found a mass in the lung.

They will not do any biopsys as she is to weak to make it thru that.
They giving morphine for the pain and to help her rest, they also gave her something so she wont feel the cramps in her legs. I assume that is from the cancer in the spine and why she cant get up.

Well they say it wont be weeks just a matter of a day or two..I still keep praying for a miracle. I wont give up on her .... I cant.
I bought her a card yesterday but not sure what to do now as it wont get to her in time....

I am so greatful to have people to pray with me for my grandmother and family I told my mom that there is still time that no one knows what god will do ....
So pleas keep praying ....
Thank you all so much ....
