Big grin I didn't see this post...but what is the BEST Christmas present you received?

I saw the oddest, but not the best. So, since Christmas is over what is the best present you received. Besides being home for Christmas and my hubby being there I'd have to say the new camera and the gift certificate for a 1/2 an hour massage that hubby gave me. I know his favorite was the X-box I bought him. He FINALLY had time to hook it up last night and I have to say even I enjoyed playing the Nascar Thunder 2003 game my mom bought him. Watching him was like watching a little kid, his whole body would move when he'd turn the car away from the walls. Too cute!

My best present was by far: the kids (ages 25, 20 and 16)
made a traditional Christmas dinner without my help, and they cleaned up afterwards, leaving the kitchen cleaner than when they started.

My best present was that my 7yo.....well, he turned 8 yesterday...remembered the message from the sermon at the Christmas Eve service. The mesage was "Don't wait, CELEBRATE". The meaning was that we don't have to wait until December 25th to celebrate the Birth of Jesus, that we can celebrate his birth every day.

We got home from Church and he started talking to me about it. I thought it was cool that he, being the youngest of all the children in my whole family, was the one to recall and talk abut the sermon at our Christmas celebration with my family...parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. I was so proud!

That's MY BOY!!!!

My kindergartener made me an ornament that has his handprint pressed in some light almost like styrofoam. You crafters probably know what I am talking about. Anyway, besides just loving the gift, I loved that he brought it home and carefully hid it until xmas eve so I would be surprised! He also told me that he made it for me so years from now I can remember how small he was! (*sniff*)

I also loved that my 12 yr old daughter bought me Bath and Body soap for the kitchen sink because she knows I use it yet don't buy it often enough. All gifts from kids are wonderful, but especially so when great thought has gone into them.

my best christmas present was having tom here with me. as most of you know, he had bypass surgery in october and since october, there have been approximately 6 men around toms age who have died of heart attacks in this area. the most recent was the superintendent of the school where our kids went to. it was a rough surgery, but at least he had it without having to have a heart attack first. with 4 blocked arteries, if he had had an attack, it would have been massive. along with that, my oldest daugher got to take her 2 kids and go visit chellem in massachusetts..thats where they are now! woohoo----------wish i was there too but chellems hubby would overdose on in-laws if i was there too.....you guys dont have too much fun now....the last time i talked to them they were all sledding on a nearby hill! ahhhhhhhhhh......nothing like family and good times!!
