Chatter box It's coming, it's coming, Snow on Christmas Day, 10" of it!

That's what the latest weather report said. I heard in New Jersey it's supposed to start 9 pm on X'mas Eve. That's a little too close to Connecticut, so I think we'll drop the gifts off in the early evening, maybe open a few and then be on our way. I wouldn't want to get stuck driving in it. One year we were driving home on Christmas Eve in a nasty storm, a car sped past us, we thought he was nuts, as we drove down the highway we saw that same car, flipped upside down. We couldn't stop 'cause the roads were too dangerous to stop on that night, all icy. It's crazy what some people will do in bad weather.

Will be watching the Weather Channel tomorrow for the lastest forecast......think we'll tell my MIL we'll go over on Friday (Charlie's working on Thursday but put it for Friday off > New Year's)
Not going out unless we absolutely have to, senseless!
According to the local news report this certainly has the potential of being the biggest Xmas storm, 7" was the record.........

Poop!
Thought I'd have a white Christmas here in New England, looks like I should be back in OHIO. After those years of west coast rain, I was really looking forward to it.

OH WELL, MY SPIRIT IS BRIGHT.
White, rainy, sunny.........guess I don't *really* mind.
MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!

Well it's already here in SW MO! We live in a town with a lot of hills so the whole town pretty much shuts down until the plows can get out. I haven't seen one yet! LOL It has been snowing non-stop since yesterday around 11 AM. We aren't even going to make it to the in-laws tomorrow. That's ok, we don't even have our gifts yet for the in-laws! We ordered alot of stuff from Amazon and the UPS man can't even deliver it to us!

We'll end up having our Christmas this weekend! Assuming we can even get out then!

It's raining again in North Carolina. Hard to believe we had a major drought going just 2 months ago. Now it seems to rain and rain, with time out for that ice storm that caused some of us here to lose power for over a week. Still, I am counting my blessings and wishing all of you the very best as the holidays are here and the new year is just around the corner.

Whelp...it's been snowing here for I would say almost an hour. We cut all of our visits short (Kenny's parents and my parents). We left Mom and Dad's not too long ago because I did NOT want to go through what I did on Friday. I would have rather pulled over and cried than keep driving like I had to! LOL! Funny, that snow wasn't even reported because it wasn't in Columbus. It just hit out of the blue (even semi's pulled over to wait it out a bit). We're home, tummys full from all of the grub, warm and in for the night I hope you all do well and stay safe..oh yeah, the wind is gusting pretty good also so if you MUST drive any where, be VERY careful. I don't know if this will even make it to the most Northern part of Ohio or not, but it said we were suppose to get like 6"-8"....YIPES! We live on a weather belt deal and we always get just a little worse than they "predict"...BLECH, but hey...we're all home

Watched the local news a lil while ago, according to them we're (entire NE) gonna get POUNDED, supposed to get it all, heavy snow, high winds, freezing rain...your classic Nor'easter.

As it stands right now they're calling for 6-10" for much of the state, but further north they could get 12-18", YIKES

Needless to say we aren't going to my MIL's tomorrow, we'll go on Sunday instead. Looking forward to a jammie day tomorrow with my guys.

Naomi

It is always snowing here in Spokane, Washington at Christmas, but this year, we haven't seen any snow at all. The funny thing is that I've been on maternity leave, and I thought that I'd be able to be at home while the roads were bad. I'm all scheduled to go back to work on Tuesday, the 31st, and I hear we're going to have snow coming up. I'm sure going to hate driving in all of that! ))

OK so it's Christmas Day, I look out the window, NO SNOW! Are the weathermen just teasing us? Anyways, they said rain for our area all day and then the snow is supposed to start this evening. How is it where you live?

We're covered here and it's still coming down. If DH doesn't get the snowblower running we won't be getting out of the driveway...well...that's not exactly true, we could shovel, but WHO WOULD DO THAT??? LOL!

We've got sleet and freezing rain out there now BUT we're in here where it's cozy and warm
Guess the storm is coming a bit later than originally forecast, but IT'S COMING
Have a feeling I'll be taking the boys sledding tomorrow, break in the new toboggans they got

Just looked out the window, I thought it was just heavy rain, but it was sleeting, it looked like good sized hail. Glad I'm indoors. If it's bad tomorrow, they may not see me at work.
