You can get some great stuff at the dollar store!

Something that was really fun for us this year was the gift buying between siblings. In the past, they haven't consistently given gifts to each other. I was never one to give them money to buy each other gifts. If they had money they decided on their own whether to give and if they didn't have money they might've thought of a different way to give a gift. Anyway, this year all the kids had saved some money from working or Kidzeyes payout except my 5 yr old. I gave him $1 to spend on each sibling which is what my 10 yr old had also. They went to the dollar tree and picked out some gifts and to tell you the truth I thought they were very nice. I am happy with that arrangement and plan to do that next year. We have several dollar stores around here, but some of them are so junky! Dollar Tree seems to have the best stuff IMO. It is so nice for the kids to pick gifts without having to figure the cost and budget for everyone. Next year we will go a couple of times so that we have a good selection to choose from.

I agree, I love my dollar tree.

I am such a poet baby-lol

Really, we go there for stocking stuffers also. I have even been know to buy some adult gifts there, if they are cute.

Plus ours has things like childrens tylenol, which costs so much at the grocery store!

Smile I agree!

Found a nice little glass nativity scene (stocking stuffer) & even a Chicken Soup for the Teenagers Soul gift there for my dd.

Sounds like a great idea for the kids.

I LOVE our dollar tree too! I can always pick up some nice things there. I have even found things there for the store.....such as price stickers, colored posterboard, etc that is so expensive elsewhere! Plus we even have a SUPER dollar tree here.....it is HUGE and hubby just hates it when I go there.....he knows I will spend, spend, spend! lol

We also have a DEALS here in town and it has some REALLY nice stuff there too and it is $1 also. I got my daughter some Barbie hair accesories and make up there. The exact same items were at the K-Mart here for $5 a piece and all I paid was a dollar!

Love THE BEST!

Dollar Tree is the BEST ! The sales clerks are so nice and helpful; stores are clean & well-organized, really great selection of products, and at $1 a pop (except for the things that are two or even three for a dollar...) who wouldn't have fun-n-n-n shopping? Every time I visit, I always make sure to tell the cashier how much I love the place! There aren't too many stores in these parts where a shopping trip is a guaranteed pleasure. More often than not, I leave feeling annoyed that I went in the first place - except at Dollar Tree.

THANK YOU, DOLLAR TREE!!

I agree with that. There's a great dollar store about 45 minutes away, but worth the drive. I found a really nice CD case there. It sure looks much more expensive. It's also fun going in those stores 'cause you can get so much for so little and you don't go broke in the process.

Oh goodness...Dollar tree is USUALLY the first place I go for stocking stuffers..not this year tho...believe me, I have been there more than enuf times in the past year to make up for missing the Christmas stocking stuffers trip..LOL!
This year I ordered from [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and had plenty of "extras"...made up a couple of gifts bags for the youngest to take for their exchange gifts at school...since the youngest son's limit was $1.50 it was perfect...if I hadn't placed that order tho, I would have been truckin' it to the Dollar Tree! LOL!

I love dollar stores, but rarely find anything truly wonderful there. However, a friend of a friend lives in Minneapolis and found scrapbooking supplies at her dollar store. The exact same stuff craft stores sell for $5-6 were there for a dollar. She brought us back care packages. I keep looking here for the same deals, but no such luck.
