Wink Anyone else having X'mas parties at work?

Ours is Monday. It's a potluck luncheon. Of course I get lazy around the holidays so I'll probably take some Dinty Moore stew, which I actually think tastes good, put it in a casserole dish to bring to work. Last year I did beans, but beans are not a favorite, well, you can guess why. As long as everyone brings something in it ought to be good. Some people are just bringing breakfast foods, while others stuff for lunch. Next year they want us to pay $24.00 for a catered lunch. Many of us think that is going a bit overboard. My friend and I figure we'll go get chinese take-out when that time comes. I mean really now, are we really going to eat $24.00 worth of food at lunchtime? Reality check here. We are having a Secret Santa grab bag the following day. We each picked a name. The person I got wants a picture frame. I found some nice frames at the Christmas tree shop, 2 porcelain types and one more like a rattan. I almost wanted to keep them they are so nice. Tuesday, our grab bag day, we have a Profit Sharing meeting after work, and then the company gives us gifts, either a turkey, a smoked ham, or cheese pack. One year they even gave us each a bottle of wine along with the meat. We eat well Christmastime. So, what is everyone else doing at work to celebrate?

Oh the joy of Christmas parties!! Let me begin my tale about Christmas parties!!! Party #1 was 12/3...declined the offer... was pissed off at the MD I work for and it was his party. Party #2 was at a co-workers house on 12/11...had a GREAT time...but.....I ended up slipping and falling down a flight of stairs Ended up in the ER where they thought I fractured my right pinky finger! They put me in a soft cast and I had to wait 5 days before ortho MD could see me!! Turns out the finger was NOT fractured, but I'm all battered and bruised!!! Feeling better today and going back to work on Monday 12/23 Party #3 was this past Tuesday 12/17 at a nice restaurant. Was all my co-workers from the hospital that I work at and one of the MD's payed the bill for us!! Had a great...DID NOT fall down any stairs
