What's Your Biggest Pet Peeve(s)??

There are sooooo many things that really bug the crap outta me, but I will just name a few

Sorry if this resembles anyone out there

1) Fast food restaurants that allow people with short arms to work the drive thru! I am a a small statured gal and my arms are short, so just imagine me and the employee trying to exchange money, food, etc. It pretty much looks like we are just waving at each other! LOL I am sure the cars behind me get a good laugh!

2) People who allow their dogs to ride in the bed of a pick up truck!!

3) People who flick their cigarettes out of the car window, it always seems to hit my car!!

4) People who park in the hash marks between the disabled parking spaces!!

I could go on and on.....soooo what's are your biggest pet peeves?

What day of the week is it LOL. No really my biggest is probably people who park in the handicapped spots who are not my hubby is and has the placard he hates it when people leave their placard hanging on the mirror while they drive it says right on it not to. Wal-mart has the spots for parents with sick children I saw a bunch of young boys park in it one night I get so mad when I see this. I dislike people who flick their cigarettes out of the car window too they all ways seem to do it when we are having a burn ban going on.

spelling typos.
mispronunciations.
stupid people - characterized by their actions!
people who abuse privileges (ie taking a handicapped spot when theyre not really handicapped themselves)

People who leave their shopping carts in parking lots. I always park far away from people so I don't get a door ding (for those people with old cars who don't care if they bang their crappy door into your car). Then people are too lazy to take their cart to the cart return & it rolls all over the parking lot. Wal-Mart in my town is the worst .. they are all over the place & the employees never come & take them in.

CKMYERS & APRILGAIL-----------Yep, those are my biggies. The left lane is for those of those in a HURRY(LOL). Never ceases to amaze the people who insist on driving in the left lane. Please, people--MOVE OVER. And the shopping cart thing really strikes a raw nerve. I usually always take a cart back into Walmart as I go--figure if everyone did that they wouldn't have to hire cart-pushers. I also park at the very end of the parking lot and just cringe when I come out and there is a cart close to my car. And how many times have you seen a cart in a parking space and within 10 feet is a shopping cart stall. Burns me up. Are people that lazy? Geeze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What about road construction and people ignorant to the signs posted that a lane is closed 20 miles ahead so they have plenty of time to merge over. You always have that ONE jerk who has to stay in the lane thats ending til the very end and then cause a mess to try and merge over! grrrr
(David Letterman did an opening monologue on this about a year and a half ago... the catch phrase on that night was "just move on over")
It isnt just that type, but when any lane ends.... the roads around here are very well marked but does ANYONE bother to merge before the very last second? NO sheesh! "Just move on over!" LOL!!!! (Hubby and I are always saying this to one another while in the Jeep.... I don't drive anymore so he is my private driver lol)
And ok I am sorry if anyone on these boards like this style of vehicle but I just dont get taking a front wheel drive car and slapping one of those tall fin thingies (spoiler? is that what they are called?) on the back of the stupid car! It looks like they are trying to turn the dang thing into an airplane!
One night we saw some young fellas with a BMW .... nice spendy car .... with a dorky $300 wing thing.... ruined the whole line of that beautiful car!!! Hubby and I were looking at it like "what in the world is THAT" and the fella says "Hey looks great doesnt it... its a race car!!!" Hubby just shook his head and said.... "well at least it isnt a front wheel drive" and we continued on our way. LOL
Ok i guess thats about it for me.... oh and of course Internet Trolls.... those people who cruise the net just to stir up trouble GRRRRRRR
I think I'm done now LOL

I thought of another thing that bugs me!! I thought of it when Brenda mentioned Wal-Mart. It drives me nuts when you are unloading your cart and there is someone waiting for your space. I hate the feeling of being rushed!! Not only that, they are holding up all the cars behind them. I had a woman do this to me the other day, so I loaded up my trunk, and I was pretty close to the cart return area, but I decided to take it back into the store (only because I knew she was waiting for my space) LOL

My DH hubby told me I was just evil...I said I know, but it sure was funny. Of course I can't imagine the names she was calling me as she went to look for another spot!

Oh that is a good one... feeling rushed for someone to take my space. Sometimes if I have the time, I go back in the store for something I "forgot" or pretend to balance my checkbook, look for a cd for the car stereo... all kinds of things.
And while on the subject of pet peeves... what about poor customer service.... or what I tend to call "customer NO service"?
Ask someone in a store a question and they act like it's such a BOTHER to help you... or worse yet, that vacant stare (reminds me of Patrick the Starfish from Spongebob my kids love so much. LOL)
Oh and of course the ones already mentioned about people taking the disabled parking spaces and slow drivers in the fast lane...
hmmmmm with all my rants I feel like I sound like such a rotten person... but I rather think of it more as being headstrong in what I believe to be "right".... and yes, I can admit when im wrong which is rare ;-)

Big grin Get ready for a long post.

1) People who throw cigarette butts out their car windows. Is the world their garbage can? Did they spend tens of thousands on their cars, but not spring for the ash tray? Also, how about the ones that DO use their ash tray, but find it convenient to empty them on the pavement while sitting at a red light? My solution? A special vacuum unit that sucks up and stores cigarette butts in a tank within my car. Then when I catch one of these violators in action, I signal them to roll down their windows, whereupon, I hit the switch to run the vacuum "in reverse", emptying my tank full of cigarette butts into their passenger compartment!

2) Like many have already said, people who don't know there are other lanes besides the left lane to drive in.

3) People who drive distracted, with pets on their lap, cell phone in hand, stuffing a burger in their mouths, etc.

4) People who step out of a bathroom stall and head straight for the exit door without washing their hands. Especially disgusting when restaurant workers (cooks) do it.

5) People who sit at a traffic light, again distracted. The light turns green, but they aren't looking, so they don't move until they hear a beep from behind. Once they get underway, they are one of 2 or 3 cars that get to go through the light before it turns red and makes everyone else sit through another long cycle.

6) People who change lanes without signalling.

7) People who turn onto a highway, unable to stay within their lane designations. For instance, two lanes able to turn right onto a highway and the car in the outside (rightmost) lane makes a sloppy turn, creeping into the inside (leftmost) lane during the turn. Nevermind that there's other cars in that lane.

8 ) People who purposely close a gap when you turn your signal on, essentially politely showing your intent to change lanes. They don't want you to get in front of them.

9) People who drive their shopping carts WITHIN a store the way they drive their cars. They come out of an aisle without caring that you're walking past the aisle at the same time. They stop right in the middle of high traffic areas instead of trying to get out of the busy areas.

10) People who run "interference". You're trying to get from point A to point B and you've got a whole family of "widetracks" that are plodding along, blocking the entire aisle. The moment you see an opportunity to break free from this roadblock, they close it back up, sandwiching you between their cart and a shelf full of pickle jars!

11) People who don't know how to merge in traffic, stopping traffic behind them while they wait for an open spot to come along in their desired lane. This is similar to the idiots who come to a complete stop in a traffic lane while deciding which fork of the road they should take. Or maybe the idiots who back up on a busy highway to get back to the exit they just missed.

12) How about screaming car salesmen commercials? Ambulance-chasing-lawyer commercials?

13) Buying something online with a rebate and once it arrives, going back online to find the rebate, only to find it has disappeared.

Well, that should suffice as my FIRST installment! Sorry you asked, now?

What about people who pull out in front of you, drive about 3 feet, then turn??

In regards to the left lane drivers...I lived in AR for about a year and a 1/2 and I think it's a law that people drive in the left lane and use the right lane to pass LOL...at least they do on I-540!

Also, it never fails, I get behind someone in a checkout line who has maybe 1 or 2 items, then something happens and the checkout lane sign starts flashing for help but when you go to get into another lane, there are a gazillion people behind you and you can't get out!

How about the people who stand in line at the post office for 1 stamp? I mean, why do they put automatic stamp machines in the post offices? Decoration?

One of my pet peeves is people who have been there BEFORE you, are SICKER than you could ever be, etc.

Their situation is ALWAYS much worse than yours could ever be. You end up wondering why you even chose to discuss your issues with them in the first place because the conversation always ends up being about them.

Ya know, luvs2shop, I know what you mean, because I've felt this way long BEFORE you ever did! In fact, I've felt this feeling much deeper than you've ever felt it before, too. I'm sure that you've only experienced a tiny fraction of this peeve compared to what I've gone through. Woe is me! Can you feel my pain? Now don't you feel guilty having even mentioned it?

LOL That one hits home because last Wed. an elderly aunt passed away who was that same EXACT person LOL!!!
God Bless her heart, but if she couldn't get a doc to agree with her, she would find a doc that did!
In all my forty years I don't think she ever felt "fine". Ask how she was doing and she would give you a LONG medical history of the last several years LOL
She was a very ill woman on many levels and I really do thank God she is in a much happier, healthier, more peaceful place now but when you posted that I couldn't help but think of her... and rather fondly too. awwwwwwwwwww
rual

p.s. What about rude teenagers?????
I know most of us are trying to teach our children respect but you can tell when a child is "just being an obnoxious teen" and those who come from homes where respect means nothing at all to the entire family!
