What's Your Biggest Pet Peeve(s)??

I find some of these very funny.....but understandable why you would be peeved.....One of my biggest pet peeves is when I take a person to the welfare office or the Social security office, I see these people coming in with gold chains around their necks and bracelets and teeth, talking on a cell phone driving a brand new SUV or some kind of very expensive car,wearing very expensive clothes like DKNY Tommy Hilfiger or others, then saying their kids are hungry?????

ANother is the smoking, I am a smoker, BUT i would never light up in a resturant because I have respect for others.....

Throwing butts out the windows? NO NO>....Biggest reason for fires.....

It really upsets (family friendly site) me when people use the word "retard" or "retarded" to describe something. For example "She acted so retarded" ........
Sorry, although I never completed college I did study special education (have been involved with the Special Olympics,etc) and it really upsets me, GRRRR

Can I got one step further with this...My beautiful granddaughter has downs syndrome...I HATE when people say she rides the short bus because shes retarded....I could just PUNCH them

As some of you know, I run an online support group for parents / caregivers of special needs children. I have two mildly special needs children myself and I cannot count the number of times people have stared, made comments etc in public. I feel like screaming!! Especially when they make fun of my son's appearance. The genetic disorder he has (Noonan Syndrome) give his eyes a "droopy" appearance. When people complain that I need to get that poor tired child home I just want to smack them.... instead I say " He has a genetic disorder and that is why his eyes look like that.... so whats YOUR excuse" LOL

It happened again! People who take the frozen food and decide they don't want it and set it on any shelf in the store. They do it with other food too, but the frozen probably gets thawed and put back as though nothing ever happened.

OMG, just give me two minutes with them.
I think people with Down Syndrome are truly beautiful, inside AND out! Too bad some people have blinders on and can't see that......

I agree with MOST all the peeves listed so far. (I tried to read most of them). I have a couple that I don't believe have been hit on.

If you go to someone's house for a dinner, party etc.......you DO NOT go empty handed. You also DO NOT leave all the cleaning up for the host to do. You also SHOULD NOT eat the last peice of anything. In other words............be considerate!!!!

How about this one.....Telemarketers who call exactly at 9pm. This would, of course, be after the children have been put to bed for the night and are now wide awake ecause they heard the phone ring and need to know who called

I cant remember the last time I had a telemarketer call my house...it must be close to a year now. Once I signed up on the "do not call list" it took about 6 months and the calls came to a halt...peace and quiet now LOL!

Okay we went to a Church tonight to enjoy a wonderful Christmas singing. Why can't people turn off their cell phones that is a big peeve of mine. If it was something important I would understand but I have listened to countless of these calls (can't help it they allways talk loud enough for any one in the area to hear) and they are allways about nothing. People should have a little respect about themselves.

I can understand leaving the phones on *if they're expecting an important call*, but in any case if they get a call they should leave the room to talk.

As far as leaving the cell phones .......
You can purchase a vibrating battery for many cell phones (my hubby's new phone has that option built right in, this way he isn't being rude if he's with a client)
