Well I guess I can add to my list of pet peeves...Stores who put the darn candy in the checkout lanes!! One store I visit has 'child friendly" checkout lanes where there is no candy or junk there while you are checking out!

my piggest pet peeve is

People that give you or anyparent with a special need child that look while in a grocery store or what have you when they start acting up! Sometimes there are children with disablities that you can never tell they have one ( adhd odd ocd ).
I use to be one of those people before I had children and now if i see a child acting out I just smile that smile like Ive been there before and I know how you are feeling.
I know it would be easier to go to stores or anywhere else in public without this child but what can we do lock them up for the rest of there life so other people arent botherd by these chidren?
ok im getting off this lol so that is my peeve grrrrr.
the other pet peeve I have is NAIL BITTERS!!! Gross
I hate to see people chewing them when you are out to dinner or better yet anywhere then the spit them out!!!! GROSSSSSSSSS thats germs x 2 ( under nails and mouth)

Naomi get yourself a manicure and the tips. I don’t think you will be able to bite them don’t know for sure as I don’t bite my nails. The only thing that bothers me about nail biting is I know how painful it can be I used to bite mine and when you got down in the quick can be very painful. I don’t know what made me stop just did. I think a manicure looks so nice and feminine on any one. I like to get mine done in the holiday themes when I can afford it which I haven’t for awhile.

One of them is people who don't follow the "left lane must turn left" and "right lane must turn right" designations. And of course then another has to be intersections with those lanes that aren't marked well enough to see before you get right up to it (so you don't have time to move out of it if that's not the way you wanted to go).

And although I'm getting used to people who send messages online that don't use capital letters, or use abbreviations like "r u 2 going to the movie 2nite?", and most typos and misspellings are easy enough to overlook, it annoys me when people write "should of" (or could of, would of, etc) instead of "should have" (etc) when using the long form of "should've" (etc). But maybe I'm just too picky about these things.

You're in the left lane of a 2-lane road. You're coming up on a red light and there's a car in front of you. You want to make a left turn by getting in the left-hand turn lane once it opens up. But the car in front of you wants to save his brake pads by creeping up to the light, slowing down to a crawl even though he has 10 car lengths between him and the car in front of him. So, you can't get in that left turn lane, the turn lane gets the green arrow, but by the time you get there, it's turned red and you get to sit through another long light cycle.

Similarly, you're sitting 5 cars back from the first car waiting for a light to turn green. It turns green. Cars start to accelerate, and 3 cars go through before the light starts to change. Totally poor traffic engineering!

Did we forget? Sitting in an airplane seat right in front of the kid who loves to grab your seatback, play with the tray table, kick the seat and whine the whole trip! Meanwhile, the parent reads a book or listens to headphones.

Thanks, jeski, you reminded me of another "set" of peeves.

1. Drivers that don't make the "right on red" when it's OK.

2. Drivers behind me who honk at me for not making a "right on red" at an intersection with a "no turn on red" sign.

Baffled

I've noticed most of our pet peeves involve driving...scary huh?

Speaking of which, I thought of another....LOL

It drives me insane when you come to a 4-way stop just about the same time as another car. You don't go, they don't go, you sit and stare at each other, you start to go, then they start to go, then you both stop again, start waving to each other to go, and so on...you get the idea!!

Rolling eyes here's one i encountered tonight...

parents who let their children run wild in a movie theatre!!!!! gavin is 6 and skylar is 4 and even they were looking at me like "omg WHAT is that kid DOING?!" LOL!! he was running up and down the stairs up and down up and down up and down...the whole while the mother was chatting LOUDLY on her cell phone that seemed to go off every 5 seconds.... it amazes me sometimes (as a parent) what other parents will just let their children do...granted if the child can't help it, they can't, but when they can and they do anyway and the parent doesn't do anything about it....

so anyway, that's my pet peeve i encountered tonight LOL!

Treasure Planet was a REALLY good movie though, yall should see it all 4 of us were riveted to that movie, disney does it again!!

OK...another BIG one for me...and it doesn't involve driving!

You're clicking away at your computer, got several windows open and you get to filling out a form. Then some stupid popup steps in while you're not looking and "steals the focus" away from what you're doing. Your keyboard strokes get wasted. Or you're getting ready to click on something when another window pops up and you end up clicking on something you didn't intend to.

A couple of weeks back, I thought I found a fix for this in a Microsoft download called "Tweak UI". There's an option in it to say "don't take away the focus", but I found it doesn't work completely. Any other suggestions?

You had to ask!

People who do not wash their hands after using the bathroom YUCK!!!!

People who reach into a bag of M&MS ( one that everyone grabs from) with their bare hands they could use a smalll paper cup, which are available, but do not, even if you say something before they do it
