Kodak digital camera with dock.......

I have a Kodak DX3700 digital camera with the docking station. My question is to anyone out there who also has one...do you always keep your camera in the docking station that is always plugged in? I was wondering if it is possible to over charge the batteries or burn them up. I keep it docked but the dock isn't always on and I can only take about 6 pictures and the batteries go. I was thinking if I keep it docked and charging all the time I may get more pictures out of it. Anyone else have one and how do you keep youre camera?

My mom has a dock & she keeps hers plugged in all the time. I got it for her as a present & I'm pretty sure that the directions said that it was safe to keep it in the dock and plugged in whenever you weren't using it.

Thanx Kat..I will do that from now on..I kept turning the dock off at nite and now I think I have ruined my batteries...they charge up for about 6 hours and only take one picture. I have a spare battery but I am going to keep the dock on all the time with the old batteries to see if they ever come back to full charge...Thank you.
