Talking Deal of Day made the front page of the Wall Street Journal today!

DOD made the big time! It was an article about knowing what will be on sale before it is actually on sale, insider info that DOD and a few others have on their sites. They were talking about after Thanksgiving, how things will be less in price.

As far as I know, no one here posted the Black Friday sales. However, in Internet and Retail Deals there was a link provided by mbowler (and Mayor) to a site that lists the BF sales.
Walmart, Staples, Target and other stores have asked forum owners that they remove their information.

There is a very LONG discussion at Fatwallet's Hot Deals.

The article refers to DOD and FW as a "cult".

I wish I had seen it.....dh said it was on at 6:00 EST, so that would be local news in our area, the network was ABC (channel 7 here) and it was the Detroit area newscast. Very large audience.

Any other Michiganders see it??

I was surprised by this too, then I told my husband and he said it actually is probably an accurate statement. He was saying how it is said that there are people who are a form of Lord of the Rings cult or Star Wars cult... Meaning that there is a group of people who take the subject to a greater level and are part of a specific community, who support it and frequent it. That 's pretty accurate with DOD, BUT the word cult has such negative connotations that I would never choose to use it in the way my DH was describing and Wall Street Journal probably was using the word "cult" with negative overtones. I think when most people think of the word "cult" they think of Waco, TX or odd satanic groups and such.
