Poor Billy Boy!! Now THAT was a riot!!!! I can't believe I had forgotten about it! LOL!

Ok..I'm not listing family, because it's inevitable...LMBO! (Kenny's huge family gathering is where we will be this year)

Baked beans
Dressing/Stuffing (if Kenny's Granny makes it, ooooh yummy).
Scalloped corn

Well, of course I like to see my dh & kids there, but it wouldn't be a proper Thanksgiving turkey if we were missing:

Ham
Green Beans
Stuffing

I very much enjoy my dad's mashed potatoes and gravy too. One year he accidentally left the peelings on some of the potatoes and it became a big hit with the family.

Turkey, homemade dressing, and pumpkin pie!

(and of course this really neat cranberry salad my mom makes....it has cranberries and pecans in it and on top a whipped topping with cream cheese.....yummy! )

Thanksgiving is at my house this year again.......I am doing the cooking but I am asking mom to bring that cranberry salad and make the dressing.....I can never get mine to taste like hers!

Mayfly....we've always called it scalloped corn, but maybe it's also referred to by another name.

Two ways I make it:

Cream Corn mixed with cornbread mix (like jiffy), onions and an egg or two (depending on how much you're making)

OR

Cream Corn with crunched crackers (like DUST crunched..lol), onions and an egg or two.

Also put pads of butter on top, pour into a sprayed or lightly greased baking dish (not a deep dish), bake until "firm" in center.

I love mashed potatoes with the skins left on! I'm surprised more people don't do it that way.

My three are:
stuffing-can it be thanksgiving with out it?
brocoli (how do spell that?) casserole (is that mispelled too?)
yams!!!

Sweet potatoes the way my MIL makes them...sliced thin with lots of butter and brown sugar.
Fresh, whole cranberry relish (not the canned stuff)
Pigs that great-grandma makes...(ham and rice rolls, rolled in cabbage, cooked in saurkraut.

I could do without the turkey and stuffing, and just go for the side dishes....
