| Now I need advice about eBay feedback!
I had a gal do "buy it now" for a maternity item of mine, and then also e-mailed me about another item she bid on, and said she meant to do "buy it now" with that one . . . so I ended the auction early for her. She also agreed to buy an item that I didn't put up for auction. I e-mailed her the total, she said she'd be sending a money order. I give people 2 weeks to pay. It's been 3 weeks now and nothing, she hasn't answered any e-mails yet. I will do a non-paying bidder through ebay to get my fees back, but I'm concerened about leaving negative feedback. She has a small rating - 19 - but no negatives. My concern is that something went wrong with the pregnancy, so maybe that's why she hasn't been on? If she's a deadbeat bidder, people should know, but if something bad happened, I don't want to leave negative feedback, ya know? Should I wait with the feedback, and if I see she's been bidding on more items, then leave it? I'm not sure what to do? Thanks! I think sometimes you can get the buyer's phone number through Ebay....I know my SIL did when she had problems with a seller. I would contact Ebay first and see if you can get another way to contact her. If not...hmmm....I don't know. I had a guy really late for a payment, but he had to leave town for an emergency funeral. It was a case of special circumstances...so I made exceptions. I wouldn't wait more than 4 weeks though, before leaving at least a non-paying bidders alert with Ebay. __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. Eeeks...that's a tough call. I'd request buyer's info (she'll get a copy of the email also) and try calling her....I mean, you really are worried about the seller and not so much the money. I hope she's alright. __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. I'd also ask for her information from eBay. She will get a notification and also your info and she'll know that you mean business. Usually, I'll send a payment reminder at the same time that I'm requesting their info - and many times that is enough to have them send in payment. But you're right, it could easily be that something happened with the baby. If she doesn't get back to you within a day or so after you request her info, I'd call her up to see what's going on. If it's something that's bad, you can state that in your NPB alert with eBay (they have one that says it was mutually agreed upon to not complete the sale) and she won't get a warning. __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. Oh gosh, that is a tough one. Have you sent a payment reminder through ebay yet? If not, I'd at least do that right now. You have 45 days to file the NPB Alert and 60 days to request your Final Value fee and you have 90 days to leave feedback, so don't feel rushed into making a decision yet. I say go with billsmrs on checking to see if she's still bidding. That may help out with your decision on what to do. If she's not still bidding on anything, I say if you want to pay for the phone call, get her number and call her to see what's up. If you don't want to call, I guess the only other thing to do is just send another email, sit tight waiting for a response and make sure you get the NPB and Final value fee requests in before time is up. Personally, without any contact from her, I wouldn't wait longer than a month before relisting. And maybe filing a NPB alert may get the ball rolling. You can file to remove the warning off her account later. __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links.
