| Mouse's Road Trip Led to....
Tiggers Lady's house!!!! Yeppers, I met my friend Tiggs! I had an an idea that's what Kenny had planned. We talked about it before we left and although I don't do any real distance driving, I wanted to. Kenny does not make a good navigator AT ALL and obviously I am not comfy with his driving, so I was basically on my own for this 4 hour trip! Yipes! I know I missed a turn some where, but nothing major really. By the time we reached their neighborhood I was pretty stressed, but so glad to be in an area where the traffic was VERY minimal. I didn't even get to look for her which I would recognize from pics., I recognized her son! LOL! After parking in the drive I got out for my hug  LOL! She scooted us in the house to get our dog Angus settled in and so we could just sit a spell. Normally after a long car ride I don't want to park my butt, but I SOOOOO was glad to do so this time! LOL! She brought out some appetizers and made sure we were all with something cold to drink. My family can not stop talking about her cooking...I can't blame them. I honestly think she was born to be a hostess and cook for everyone!! She was so attentive to everyone's needs. My two youngest sons made this trip with us and I believe they would trade me in for her in a heart beat. LOL! Her entire family is BIG time into Disney, so there is no way anyone could feel uncomfy her rather HUGE house! LOL! Even her dog made a wonderful hostess to our little Angus. Their dog weighs 90 pounds and ours only weighs 17. Those two PLAYED together w/o even a tiny growl. WOW! We all made sure though to keep an eye on them as they played in the backyard.I believe I was in shock for a large time I was there. I mean, I talk to this little woman so much on the phone and here she was right there. I was just amazed I tell ya. LOL! She and her hubby did the little bantering back and forth and it cracked me up, heck HER hubby and I even bantered a bit about making the bed before company. Like I said, even if you don't always make the bed, you DO when there's company coming! LOL! I watched them a lot working in the kitchen together and I have to say they make a wonderful team. I was nervous about seeing her, but not in a freaked out way. Everything was just so comfortable, I guess because we have shared so much via email and phone calls. I can't find the words to do justice. I am so very lucky to be able to call her friend. Everything about her is beautiful, her hubby, her children, her dog and her home. The kids played well together, I don't even remember seeing them very often..LOL! She even made a cake for my youngest son's birthday next week. Is that not just too sweet!!!!!! I have to tell you though, she makes the best of store bought frosting taste like crud!!!!!! She sent us on our way with a cooler full of food...from dinner and Codey's cake. My hubby ate so much yesterday. I knew he REALLY loved Tigg's cooking because he kept saying how much he had eaten that day and we really didn't stop much for anything other than drinks...LOL! Her whole family has one heck of a sense of humor. Example: I had given my brisket to Kenny, I LOVED it, but I was too full already. As I gave it to him I said "I swear I love it!!!" Her son pipes up with "As Mom always says, don't swear!" LMBO!!!!! Her daughter is just....she's just a real sweetie! Everything about her is so dainty..I swear that child could go stomping up the stairs and it would STILL be dainty!!!! I loved meeting her and it will not be the last time we make this trip for sure. I know there won't be any complaints from my family about visiting again also I wish though that I would have had a better driving experience on the way there. I am definitely not use to driving in such bad traffic, nor at that speed limit! Yipes! LOL! It was really okay tho for the most part, just one small section got the best of me..not to mention I am NOT use to this driving to begin with.I "let" hubby drive home and we took a different route than we had gone...actually Tigg's hubby wrote up a less stress route and we did go by it for the most part, but then took a country "cut off"..gotta tell ya, it would have been gorgeous if it was daylight. very little traffic and so serene. My kids didn't fight at all in the car and even our dog was well behaved. We couldn't have asked for a better overall experience and I know I couldn't have asked for a better place to end up. I am so worn out feeling today, I think it was just too much excitement..LOL! Hey, my life doesn't have much of that where it ends up all good so I'm not use to it!! Paula, your story was wonderful to read. Sounds like you and your entire family/angus had a perfect memory day. I'm happy for you and Tigg's family. You write so well! I enjoyed it...

Great story! Wish I was there... would have loved to have met BOTH of you. And Paula... while I realize you were stressed out.. at least Kenny didn't get accused of any crimes, chase down any litterbugs or get into any other confrontations!

Paula...that is so exciting!!! I'm so glad you and Tiggs got to meet in person. Sounds like Tiggs is even more wonderful in person. It sounds like everyone had a great time....even the pooch...lol! Thanks for sharing your story. I bet you can't wait to do it again! Lori |

It was awesome...TOTALLY! Ya know, I was sitting here thinking of how great it all really was. Like you said Jeff, there were a few things that DIDN'T happen. Seriously, I have some of the dumbest luck and nothing really happened in those terms. Just baby me freaked out by the highway is all! LOL! Funny thing is I will sometimes ask Kenny what the speed limit is and he'll always say "70!"...well, our highways are 65 so he always hints for me to go 5 mph over..at one point I asked on the way to Tigg's house and he said 70...I kinda jumped and said "I don't want to give anyone any reason to pull me over Kenny.now what the heck is the speed limit???" Uhhhh..it WAS 70! LMAO!!! Oopsie, sorry Ken! LOL! Whelp, everyone has been eating the "leftovers" that were sent home and OMG, the compliments are flying once again! Dang that woman can cook! I'm in a way glad I don't live too near by...I would be home bound after a few months! LOL!

Honest, I've never met the woman in my life! I don't have the slightest idea what she is talking about!! hehehehehe OK, I fess up - it was a fun plan and I didn't want to slip and say something to her while it was being planned! But it worked out! It was such a pleasure - Paula is beautiful and her entire family - well Kenny is just a gorgeous hugable thing and the kids - well, I'll keep them if you get tired of them Paula!!! Beautiful and very polite!!! Angus, what a darling little thing - it was funny - when Paula's kids first saw my puppy their eyes grew very large!!! About as large as my puppy!! I just felt badly cause Paula was so stressed from all the driving. All the kids got along so well together (my kids are not happy that you live so far away!!) and it was just a wonderful but too fast day/evening! What was funny was after you left, Techman said that you and Kenny remind us of us! The women are more outspoken (ahem, no comments from anyone else please!) and the men are just more quiet and laid back!!! And the fun bantering between spouses were very similar!! hehehe Thanks for the compliments Paula - we just had a wonderful time!!! You are such a darling thing!!! (((Paula)))

Hee hee...I wish we did live closer, your home is so much different than my own..size, decor, setting etc..but it was SO comfy. Like being at home! I'm sure it has nothing to do with all of the Disney stuff..OR the smell of the good cooking! LOL! Logan wanted to call your son this morning! LOL! Codey wants to know if your DD is alright after the Soccer mishap? I have to say Codey acted a little "off" yesterday when Tiggs had is cake out to surprise him. I asked him today if anything was wrong or if he was just embarrassed from being the center of attention. He said he had felt bad for her DD getting hit with the soccer ball, he was getting a tummy ache and his eyes were really heavy. He had a tummy ache for 2 days off and on and I never thought to ask him about it while we were there!!!! DUH! He and Logan both slept from an hour into the drive and on...heck, so didn't Angus! LOL! Everyone was just so cool with everyone. Logan is already making plans for our next visit...LOL! He and Tigg's son really hit it off well. I was so impressed that not even a little tiff broke out, not even among the siblings!!!! I think they were well occupied!!! I agree that the time we spent together went just way too fast!! Next time we'll have to plan less of a great big meal TIGGS and just hang out and BS the whole time! I looked in my goody bag this morning...GEESH TIGGSY, WOW! Thank-you so much, you do know what I (we) like babe!!!! Can you believe how the weather worked in our favor also, not hot, but not cold either. It couldn't have been better. Oh yeah, that was another pot-shot Techman took at me, I had meant that there was an overcast earlier in the morning, but I said it was pretty dark instead..he said "Uhhh, yeah...it's called night!" WHAT A SNOT! It was hilarious!!!!! I don't think anyone in the family misses a beat!! I had a great time and any stress I caused myself from driving was MORE than just worth it. (((((((((((MOUSE AND TIGGS)))))))))))))) NOW THIS WAS A MEETING that took too long to happen!!! I am so incredibly happy for both of you that is so awesome!!!! I loved reading about it, i KNOW yall had such a great time *sniffle* i just get all choked up thinking about it LOL...and what a surprise!! i bet you were so happy when you realized you were going to see tiggs mouse!! and TIGGS!! I COULD NEVER keep my mouth shut about it, how did you ever manage that, yall know me i woulda been bouncin off the walls (lol, pun intended) trying to keep it to myself!! that is just so great, i can't wait until i can meet all of you!! i know we will someday too now if kat didn't live so far away.... we never get anything done as it is, could you imagine if we lived close by LOL!!
