 What's in Your Purse/Pocketbook I got this idea from another board and just LMAO!! Literally....but in the same sense..oh brudder did I feel amongst people of my kind! LOL! I can't empty the contents of my purse now because I have a few errands to run..btw, that means when I get back I will have a couple less things to list, example: a big ole $10.20 CHILD SUPPORT CHECK <-- LMBO! Hey, $10 bucks is $10 I suppose! One girl on the other board posted that she kept a mini doll house size kitchen sink in her purse as a joke for when ppl. commented on everything she lugged around. LOL! Ok..fess up..don't be shy..my list should take about 30 minutes to type out..LOL! Heeey, you could take this as an opportunity to clean out the crud!!  C-ya a bit later BTW...men folk..are your wallets causing you to leave unusual sized butt impressions? LOL! I don't think Kenny carries too many "frills" in his wallet, but mercy you should see his truck...OUCH!

| * Wallet with $44 * Checkbook (rarely used but makes handy notepaper) * First day of school picture to give to a friend at DD's school (been trying to track her down for a week) * Cell Phone * Cosmetic bag with all the usual stuff in it I don't like to carry a large purse so I carry only the essentials. If I have more to carry on a given day, I'll use a tote bag and put my purse in with the other things. My friends can't believe how small and lightweight my purse is. I guess most women do carry lots more around with them than I do! Mouse - I had to chuckle when I read the title of this topic. My relatives from the midwest say "pocketbook" but in CA I only hear the word "purse" used! Is it another one of those soda vs. pop things?? | I wish I could take a picture of my DH and I and send it to DOD for all of you to see. I gave up purses/pocket books about a year ago and both my DH and I wear those belt thiings with a little pouch for all our necessities: which for me are a wallet with drivers license, credit cards, and cash; a small comb; my keys; and a pair of reading glasses. All of it weighs less than a pound, BUT my kids say we look pretttttty peculiar. | Oh man this is going to take awhile - I'm one of those people that is afraid I'm going to be stuck somewhere without something I really need so I lug everything around in my purse. I've been meaning to clean it out, though, so thanks for the opportunity, Mouse!2 checkbooks from 2 different banks leather bound planner/calendar 2 hair pics (why I need 2, I have no idea - guess it's so if I can't find one in my mess, maybe I can find the other )2 target coupons for free cokes (I've been to Target about 5 times since I put those in there and can never remember to use them!) pack of gum work ID bus pass cell phone chapstick tylenol 6 lottery tickets I've been meaning to check the numbers for lots of pennies at the bottom 1 tampon (sorry guys )1 pen 2 band aids sunglasses eyeglass case (empty, not sure where my glasses are at the moment  )a Nantucket newspaper clipping I ripped out to check a website it mentions (note to self: gotta do that when I'm done here! )lots of receipts - Jiffy Lube for oil change, music store for guitar case for DS, hotel receipt for stay in Hyannis, etc. then there's my wallet which is a whole 'nother story! (about 15 ATM/debit card receipts I need to log into Quicken, $8, 2 credit cards, 2 ATM cards, and a stack of 'preferred shopper' cards - CVS, Staples, grocery store,etc) k - I've thrown out alot of random papers that were in there, now I have to tackle my wallet.....I really envy you, eldo, that you can get by with such a small purse - I've always wondered how some women could do that - especially those with children LOL __________________ [Only registered and activated users can see links. Steelers keyring w/ PO Box keys, extra car trunk/door key, Kroger card and I believe the key to the old ignition switch we had replaced over 2 years ago..LOL! Car keys that have about 10 different keyrings on it...LOL! Bottle of capsules, won't say what LOL!Stanley mini 10' tape measure. Purse size bottle of Sand & Sable Pack of smokes (unopened), heey...I don't remember buying these. LOL! My brand, but they're 100's (I'm a 120's lady). Hmmm... Travel size purple toothbrush An old cordless phone battery...hee hee..I bought a new phone instead. Time to definitely throw this away. Troll mini beasts mini-book. Kyle had it when he got out of the car one day and I put it in my purse b4 we walked into Meijers. Freebie "flip-top" IBM calculator Grocery list notepad Set of chopsticks...LMAO! Seriously! LOL! Black sharpie marker A mini mug you get from the bubble gum machine, still in the plastic container...I don't even know what team logo is on it. LOL! A rock..OMG!!! Little larger than a golf ball!!! Must be a gift from Codey..LOL! 1/2 pack of Peaches Creme Savers (Lifesavers) and a lonely Raspberry flavored candy. 2 Q-tips (UNUSED)...totally destroyed really..LOL! WOO-HOO 3 tampons! LOL! Stanley mini 3' tape measure. Codey broke it off one of the keyrings. Where the heck did the 10' come from?!?! LOL! Tic-tac container w/ 2 orange flavored tic-tacs..LOL! Mini tube of Crest toothpaste. GOBS of wrappers, receipts and expired coupons...uhhh..time to throw these away also. Checkbook cover..no checks or register in it..LOL! EIGHT lighters!!! LOL! 2 white/clear, 2 blue, 2 purple, 1 red, and 1 green. DANG...I can never find one either when I want it! LOL! Clear zip change purse..about $5 in change (gotta put it in our change jug), $22, drivers license, Credit Union bank card, Checking debit card, Savings debit card and a small gaurdian angel "token" that Tiggerslady sent me a long time ago. A few utility bills I pulled from the very bottom of my purse...let's see, one is dated for (due) Dec. 26th., 2001..LOL!!!!!!!! Hmmm..guess I can toss these also..LOL! A small stack of money order receipts for ....stupid stuff..LOL! Wallet..whew..20¢ in the change pocket, insurance cards, credit union quick reference card, script card, check book w/ ONE check, check book register, more receipts and tons of ATM slips, kids' library cards, SS card, I dunno how many business cards..lol (one for the salon I go to), 2 video membership cards, more money order receipts, JC Penney gift card ( I think there's a 0 balance on it..LOL) a couple of phone cards w/ less than 15 minutes each on them, an expired savings card we bought from the school last year, a few loose photos, and 5 postage stamps. (also more candy wrappers..lol) Small clear sticky note pad 3 ink pens 2 Pokemon cards 2 safety pins and 1 paper clip pair of sunglasses Travel size Secret deodorant Mechanical pencil w/o any lead Trial size bottle of Eucerin replenishing lotion. Emery board Tweezers Three ziploc type baggies (I bought 100 or so for candle samples from Office depot a long time ago). I put these in my purse when we took our trip to the zoo..dunno why now tho..LOL! 1 clothes pin...huh? LOL! Itsy bitsy flat tip screw driver, I think it's from an eye glasses repair kit or from my sewing machine "kit". Purse size packet of tissues (probably only 3 tissues in it..lol) Individual packet of Lysol hand sanitizer. Mini stapler...w/o any staples..LOL! ONE shoe lace 2 "Please try again" bottle caps Kenny's hospital bracelet...LOL! Pencil sharpener, one of the boys gave it to me in the car and said they didn't need it @ school. One scratch off ticket winner..it's some New Year one..from 1999!!!!!!!! Schick disposable razor w/ safety cap 4 thumbtacks...been in there since we tacked DJ business cards up on various bulletin boards about 1 1/2 years ago..LOL! I believe it's a lonely motrin or ibuprofen tablet...totally gross and dusty! LOL! WHEW!!! That's it! Funny, not a single stray coin either...I am a change saver so I never let it roam around..LOL! Daaaang it needed cleaned out badly! Now it feels about 5 pounds lighter!!! I really did spend 35 minutes going through my purse and typing this out!!! | mouse i dont believe that...hehe....you should take a picture and post it......that would NOT fit in a purse...possibly an overnight case.....but not a purse......LOL.. lets see...i have a fanny bag and ill go section by section....right side zipper, coins....left side zipper....nothing.....front section is for folded money and a stack of credit cards, drivers license, military id and various entry cards....i just had to split my cards up between what i use all the time and what i dont use very much (which includes insurance cards and individual store credit cards) the second section is for my key ring which is huge now because the cars have a bulky entry control AND we have a keyless remote lock system on the back door so that goes on the keyring too. 2 pens are in that section as well..... rounded zip section is where the majority of my stuff is. its really a survival kit cuz almost everything you would need, i carry even though it IS a fanny bag. i have a metal container for bandaids, a small bottle of breath drops, 2 fingertip toothbrushes, carmex, nail file and nail clipper, mini tape measure, mini leatherman, gum, handkerchief (i quit carrying tissue because it got crummy before i could use it) one lipstick, and the extra credit cards that were aforementioned....the back section is for sunglasses and reading glasses. to top it all off, i clip my cell phone on the belt.....when i go to the movies, i remove almost everything from the rounded section and either stick a soda or a small bottle of water in there instead. whew. those airport security people love me when i go through now.....hehe __________________ [Only registered and activated users can see links. | LMBO Tasker...I give my solemn word that every bit of that WAS in my purse, oh yeah..I over-looked an item because I had it all dumped on the desk, a pair of childrens blunt tip scissors! LOL! I carry a pretty large shoulder handbag. One that has a large center (zippered) compartment, a large snap section on each side of the large center one, a small zippered pocket on the inside and a small pocket on the very outside, like for glasses and such. Kenny walked in and saw the PILE of lighters and asked "Clean out your purse or what?" LMBO!!!!

| My purse AND contents weight 2 pounds 6.4 ounces, by my Stamps.com digital postal scale. Not much, really!! Honest, it's not a big purse at all. Most of the stuff in my purse is paper (sooooooo many coupons!!)
