| Any one started Christmas shopping
I start early for two reasons. I really hate crowds and if I don't I can't afford as much as I want to buy. Has any one else started yet. I'm always watching eBay ......this way I can put things away throughout the year. Although I have nothing put away this year  We do not (we simply cannot nor do we believe in going overboard with material things ) spend a lot on gifts for the kids. Hard too because Matthew's b-day is 12/19. Not to mention gifts for three teachers (2 @ nursery school) and the bus driver this year is awesome so cannot forget her  I am a firm believer in buying practical things. Steven just started reading the Goosebumps books so I'll watch eBay for those. I also like getting the kids CD's for their 'puter. I'm sure we'll probably end up getting a new game for N64, can't go wrong with that. Normally we get each of our mom's a lil something (emphasis on LITTLE). This year I'm getting them each something from the school's fundraiser (nice catalog this year!). Right now trying to concentrate on Halloween though...think I'm gonna have DH make a Spongebob costume for one of the boys (Charlie's VERY artistic). Yeppers...sure have. I'm trying VERY hard to keep it more at minimum. The kids are getting older which means the wish list is getting more expensive. I like saving the kids' for the most part until late as possible tho...they change their mind more often than I do while PMSing!!! LOL!

Well NaomiMarie I don't beleive in going overboard either but I do have a lot of people to buy for. Mouse I understand about the kids thank goodness mine are grown and my grandbabies don't care what they get as long as they get something. Debbee2 well at least that is something I have just started myself and some of the things I have bought have to be made like some crossstich pictures and I am hooking a few rug pictures too. What is an appropriate gift for a bus driver ? for a teacher ? Any ideas ? My son is in kindergarten so I am new to this and don't have any ideas about what to give them. Thanks.

We're pretty much done with Alli's. There was a Toys R' Us going out of business and we got a lot there. I think all we have left for her is her "big" gift (probably a new bike) and some little stocking stuffers. I really don't have anything for the baby yet. Probably won't do much for her for the next 2 years. It isn't like she'll know anyway!! LOL.... Plus, with 3 sets of grandparents, plus aunts, uncles, great-grandparents and friends....they get PLENTY!! We usually buy for each other last. Sadly, I haven't done as much by now as I usually do. We've been so focused on getting ready for the new baby. I really need to start my list (who to buy for), though. I'm probably about halfway done. Got my office staff done and my student workers. (I hope I don't hire more than 8 or I'll have to look for some more things) Have some things for my family. In fact just got some things for my folks today. They love their yard, and Dad had made some wirlies (for sake of a name-this is a stationary bird or animal that has it's wings or arms going round and round in the wind) for corners of the yard. Also, during the winter they like to sit in kitchen or family room watching the wirlies. lol.Anyway, the ones they have are sorta old and starting to fall apart, I found 2 in the store tonight. Since they are in their 80's, they really don't need or want too much. I usually give them gift certificates to their favorite restaurants and to the moviesand theaters. I hope to finish up around Thanksgiving. I also don't like crowds and really can't walk too much with my arthritis and knee problems.
