Arm and Hammer (WASH SODA)

I want to try making the laundry soap that is here in this forum but I can't find the Arm and Hammer washing soda that it calls for any where in my town. Is there any other kind I can use in the place of it? Thank you for listening.

I found mine at my local Walmart. I think maybe even our local Cub Foods had it. I am in MN so I do not know where it would be for you. It will be in the washing detergent area. Good Luck I love that homemade soap!

Meijer carries it in MI. Thats where I got mine.

i havent been able to find it here in maryland either. i even wrote arm and hammer but never heard back from them. i would like to try this soap also. i see the nasfpath( however you spell that

) soap all the time.

See my problem is I CAN find Arm and Hammer Detergent, but not the one that specifically SAYS WASHING SODA on it. I know it has to be out there because I have watched the TV program "Queen of Clean" and she uses the one that says WASHING SODA.
SO my question is:
if I used just the Arm and Hammer Detergent would it do just the same as the washing soda?
I REALLY want to make up a batch of the laundry soap.

What part of MI do you live in? Do you have a meijer close by?

If your Meijer does not carry it, they may be able to special order it for you since other meijers carry it.

I think Tom's has it too. It is usually at the bottom shelf in a really obscure place. Sometiems by the fabric softeners or the stain removers.

Arm and Hammer detergent won't do the same thing and will be more expensive.

I have asked my Meijers but they said if they don't have it they won't special order it for just 1 person, it wouldn't benefit them any. They only special order when more then 15 people request the same thing, because they need to make a profit.
