Victorian Pillowcases the inexpensive way

If you have an old lace curtain that has a hole in it, cut off the good parts, make a lace ruffle, attach it to the hem of the pillowcase for a romantic look. I like to attach it around 2-3" up on the hem, not right at the bottom of the hem, so part of the hem shows through. You can also do this with fabric remnants for not much money.

just one question though - when you say "attach it", what do you mean? Attach it with what?

I pin the ruffle to the hem, and sew it on the sewing machine. I suppose a washable fabric glue would work just as well. I haven't tried that.
