Roach Control

Thank God don't have them but got this in my email and thought someone might could use it.

"dough" for do-it -yourself roach control
1 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup shorting
1 onion chopped (or equivalent in powder)
12 oz. powdered boric acid
water

Add just enough water to the dry ingredients to form a dough. Shape into small balls and place in areas around your house, being careful to put them out of the reach of kids and pets.
Repeat once a year.

I tried that once, but it ended up just making a stinky sticky mess. I probably did it wrong. I prefer to use what my grandmother always used. Borax mixed with sugar left in jar lids (where pets and kids can't get to it). The sugar attracts them. The borax kills them when the mixture is ingested.
